    Iv gathered these from my crop people are telling me not to plant them. Once I pick out seeds and dispose of everything else I dry out seeds and I'm good to go Right

    Im totally confused. First you have"u" in the equation, then you say it Beta, then "u" is actually "g", which is next to "X", but in fact this "X" is actually "Z", the random effects. uhm.

    Is there a way to get the R Script from this video?

    Can you share bash or R or python script for genomic variant format (GT) conversion from 0/0, 0/1, 1/1, ./. to 0, 1, 2, and NA, from 0, 1, 2, NA to letters/nucleotide bases (diploid form: AA, CC, GG, TT) or directly from 0/0, 0/1, 1/1, ./. to letters/nucleotide bases (diploid form) and vice versa, please. I think these are the backbone for any downstream data analysis, and I am also facing many problems related to those.

    Looking at the cimate map of Mexico and the US, it may also be that corn spreading to the north of US could have been hindered by the climatic conditions in the north of Mexico and south of US, acting as an ecological barrier.

    I believe the next paradigm shift in plant breeding will be into EPIgenetics and new methods of horizontal trait transfer, with a better understanding of how environment plays a role in heritable genetics and potential means of traits transferred from unrelated species.

    but this anova of P.BIB indicates that the design structure contributes significantly to the overall variability, and you should be cautious when interpreting the treatment (genotype) differences, as some observed variability may be influenced by the design itself. Right? i do not undestand how it tells me genetic matters?

    Hi gusy, does anybody can explain how to loop "cycle" in 1 to 8 without any argument of "cycle" in the Chunk 3 of markdown file "5_RapidCycle.rmd" ? Since she didn't use "cycle" in the for loop, I really don't understand how it works.

  • @mahboob82
    @mahboob82Ай бұрын

    I guess, you've already figured it out by yourself. Still, I'll leave a reply for someone who might have some confusion. The answer is that, actually "cycle" variable doesn't matter here at all. She used that "cycle" variable just to complete that "FOR loop" syntax. Her main intension was to repeat those 3 lines code within that FOR LOOP for 8 times. This way she eventually updated the F2 population by 8 times. That "selectInd()" function has no use of the "cycle" variable. In R programming, you can call that "cycle" as a dummy or placeholder.

    There's a mass of sea weed off Western Australia, that has been kicking around for a looong time, and is known to be polypoloidal. Maybe the lessons investigators got from studying this world's "largest living" organism (as of 2021ce) could help with potato breeding. Australia is the ideal place for potato-breeding programs. Vast diversity of climates and enviroments, and as a land girt by sea has the World's strictest biosecurity measures (2nd only to New Zealand), so would be much harder for diseases to randomly spread from international crops and contaminate the program crops. Perfect potato petri-dish

    CRISPR technology might have progressed enough for designer potato. Alter a seed potato, and use it to propogate more seed potatoes before distribution to commercial farmers.
