  adding the cardboard is a great idea and the set up looks very nice . the ceramic acorn from b & m is my favourite hide and most useful in summer months .

  Rats are a very big maybe in the next couple of yrs I see a lot of rats and chinchillas in work and tbh have never seen myself owning chinchillas

  a proper sized enclosure is a must as well as decent food ...harry hamster food is full of coloured nuggets and loads of corn and fattening nuts ...not the best or healthiest when other food brands are much better .

  Yes definitely just what he was on so ordering him some getzoo or the happy hamster or I forgot what the other brand was but it drives me insane trying to help and educate people on larger cages and being ignored

  certain people won't / can't change their attitudes to listening to advice or taking advice ..they go their own way and do as they like . other hamster and other pet owners learn and digest all new info and advice and strive to provide a good life for their hamsters / other pets too .

  It’s so frustrating I stayed up till 2 am talking to this person on care etc and he basically said they’re gonna die soon and he bought them a 70x40cm cage which is only £5 cheaper then what I recommended it’s just disheartening

  I ran in to a lady that has Guinea pigs and I offered to trim their nails because she couldn’t The cages are small , only 37x24 inches for 2 male piggies , other 2 boys live separately in the same cages Before she got last 2 piggies I told her that cages are not even minimum requirements and I found a great deal for much bigger cages and cheaper than the one she was going to get but she still purchased hers She stated that all of 3 cages have to match and she has no room for 3 big cages She didn’t need to get another 2 piggies but she got them anyway She doesn’t handle them because she is afraid to drop them, can’t treat their nails and , doesn’t give them peppers only lettuce mix I really dont understand why she need s to have piggies because she also had two dogs that she loves Well, I ended up their nails for the last 2 years but I really don’t want to help her I also shared a lot of information either her on having certain things on hand in case piggies get sick but she is not going to So I’m not sure if I should keep in touch with her I feel bad for piggies tho

  certainly keep in touch with her, for the sake of the guinea pigs. Have you suggested to her about C&C cages and how one can build them to stack up ward to save space ? I know a lot of people that have guinea pigs worldwide that some are not in the best or most ideal living conditions and I keep them close to heart for the sake of those Guinea pigs.

  @@fitzguineavision I did talk to her about C&C cages but she has this idea that cages have to be easily moved around her living room, she takes cages to her patio table one at the time every day She had an old Guinea pig that was slowly declining but she didn’t take him to the vet to get pain meds just to keep him comfortable, he was crying in pain before he passed she told me From what I understood if piggy will get sick she will go to the vet to put him down at best if she has a ride because she doesn’t drive She is not going to syringe feed or give meds to them because she is afraid to handle them

  So atm I have 4 fosters and 24 pigs of my own they’re split in 3 herds with my personal pigs then I have a group of 3 foster girls and 1 of my fosters girls lives in my group of 11

  So about 30 mins for a general clean and a full clean with the fleece etc takes about an hour or so

  @@lenajazuk4231so I’m a vet nurse so I get discounts at work and I just make it work I also use fleece etc so yes tbh I don’t find it too expensive I think it’s probs cause I’m used to it

  Introducing guinea pigs to one another is based on personality. Having them live side by side for a long time hoping that will bond that way, will do just that, they'll get to know eachother as neighbours and thats it. It's not really helping to create a bond in a living space al together. There's nothing wrong with the cage scenerio as is right now, a guinea pig can thrive perfectly fine and get their social needs met, living side by side.

  Yes pigs can live side by side but I prefer for mine to have company hence why he got neutered I have tried him with another combo of girls also hagrid who I attempted bond wasn’t the boy living next to them so I would reccomend watching the video

  @@fitzguineavisionif u also see every other bonding video I’ve done I always do neutral territory as tbh I find split cage not to work as they can get on split cage but hate each other as soon as you do neutral yes boys can live side by side happily but for my boys I have the options of sows and castration which is better for them

  our Cairn Lily lived for 19 years and 8 months and was active until the last three months of her life. She came to us at eight weeks and was our best and most remarkable friend. you must understand though that no one owns a Cairn Terrier and they are not "pets". They are simply the best of companions.

  Possibly the best decision you ever made. I took my fourth Cairn home in February. They are fabulous dogs, love them to bits. I hope you're getting on well with lovely Isla and you're having a ton of fun!

  Miss B is my second cairn. I also have a Scottie. The Cairns are more difficult, but both are terriers through and through. The Cairns like people and children. Both of mine like to hunt. Get lots of toys, they get bored easily and can get in trouble. Both of my girls have been independent busibodies. Good luck. Miss B's latest trick is to kill song birds and bring them to her dad. Be ready for anything.

  You have to understand that you are not the one in control. My Maddie is 4 and 1/2 years old. I was never breed specific but I am now. I tell everybody that to a terrier a command is more of a suggestion. Don't get moved to take the terrier out of your terrier. They are what they are and they are awesome.

  some super great items as usual ....this does involve going to multiple stores to check out all the pet things .wilko has been getting a few more small pet toys and forage mixes, i have noticed even in my local stores too.

  i've moved from pets at home wheels to silent spinners and have settled on using the 8" trixie wheels for my dwarf hamsters . the hamsters feel comfortable inside the wheel and sheltered by the front cover ....my robo's sit and eat seeds in theirs as evident by all the debris i find inside . these wheels are a reasonable price and do come in a few colours .

  i always enjoy a good haul video ....i have never been to jolleys [ hope i spelt it right ] the nearest one is around seven miles away from me ..i do go to the range as it is fairly close .do you think it's worth a trip out to go to jolleys as i have transport .

  Hi hun yes so the main cage is the marble 100 and the digging cage is the xl gerbilarium I wouldnt reccomend the mamble with out the gerbilarium as there is no where near enough depth for bedding but the mamble I would be care if ur gerbils are massive chewers my girls weren't to bad

  @@ScousePets hi thank you so much for responding I really appreciate it I already have the XL gerbilarium for my 2 gerbils there only babies yet but I have had a look for a while and I decided on getting them a 2 tier rabbit cage and putting the base inside the cage as you did they absolutely love climbing so they will have a lot more space to run around and lots of ledges and platforms I might do a cage tour once I get it thank you so much for responding 💕🥰

  @@ScousePets the cage is 1 metre wide by 1 metre tall so it will give them lots of space to run around their bedding is hay a small layer of wood shavings and I make my own shredded paper / non scented tissue paper bedding they also get the wilkos bedding I’ll probably do a cage tour once I get It I would really appreciate and love if you could watch it I subscribed and have watched you since 2017 xx💕🥰

  that's quite a lot of veg , how long will that last you for your animals ? aldi is where i go for most of my shopping their prices for fruit and veg are amazing .

  tbf it does seem like alot but to roughly think my 5 adult pigs roughly get 100 to 120g of veg a dayeach the 2 girls get between 40 and 50g each and then the rabbits get just over 400g between them then the hamsters get a little bit here and there but tbh alot of people dont realise how much they need but the peppers last just under a week so i tend to have to get more but the rest of it last a full week sometimes a little more but as the girls are gaining weight with getting older their veg amount goes up but yes i love aldi for veg i go between asda aldi and a local market

  so with my pigs i will make a video of their diets and what they eat in a day at some point they get 5% of their body weight in pellets 10% veg and unlimited hay and in the summer i alternate between veg and forage or i will reduce the veg and replace with forage but currently im studying animal care and management and we do alot on small animal nutrition etc
