Yes please share your car builds. When I started modelling again it was cars, definitely learnt a lot about painting and decals!

Good luck with the rally car. I did one for a change of pace. The build is a piece of p!ss but the decals killed me. I did a Toyota Celica. Decals covered literally 70% of the model with lots of complex curves and edges. Maybe the WRX decals aren't so bad.

I enjoy all your video's, even if it's just talking, always good to find out about something from a fellow modeller, if you want to build a car or three, I say go for it, still a good watch.

I am not a big fan of German armor & aircraft. And honestly I had never considered the Spanish Civil War until watching your videos. But you obviously care very much and it shows in your work. I watch and look forward to every video because you make it interesting. I am keen to see what you do with the figures and bases. And I think a car here and there will be great. Cause at the end of the day I enjoy "spending time" with you and I usually learn something new in each video., regardless of the subject. Keep up the good work. And thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Thanks for another great video, I am a plane guy but now I'm into tanks and armour and also military trucks. Whatever you decide to build I shall be watching, because a lot of your videos have inspired me to build better models, thanks.

I’m relatively new on the beginners guide to armour modelling and have built the Panzer II, Stug IV and now on the Churchill using your guides to this so really looking forward to more content on this. Planes would be good too. Great stuff!

With the Tamiya car body mount, I've taped over the metal bits with some soft electrical tape so they don't scratch the paint or plastic - highly recommend using it for painting aircraft, with each metal bit under each wing.

Found your channel a few weeks ago when I saw a Tamiya logo and was brought back to my early youth brother models. Honestly, I don’t mind watching cars (Especially such a fine Subaru) cause in the end the model is only the device on which what brings me back which is the clear and informative narration is added unto, Continue the entertaining content as your heart desire

  • @ChampionScaleModelling

Blue is arguably the most important one as it makes sure the decal is firmly stuck, that will help with silvering. Red melts the decal around details

one tipp to the rivet decal details i learnd to using a stifer syntetic brush to stamp the decal afther seting almost down in to the surface, if you supf a cigarett use the same presure to tap on the decal with the brush and it will sattel down super ! :) do this just a bit it does not need mutch . and the solution (i am using mr hoobys mark setter ) < just the setter softner isent realy nessesery,. the best for fidrent beginners will be to try this on a cheper model at first.

I have a photograph of "a paper doll." Unfortunately, you can't see enough of the front of the vehicle, so can't tell if there are sandbags on the front. But for sure, it has the T-66, not the T-80 tracks.

Great series of videos. I’m working on the Churchill and have just painted the tracks. It made me wonder why on your model the spare links on the hull are grey yet the active tracks are brown. Wouldn’t the spares rust at a similar rate to the active links?

Testors (Revell, etc) glue most assuredly does melt poly-styrene. Most Tamiya glues are just a thinner version, and they are all probably made with Acetone as the main ingredient.

I love these videos that cover a kit's flaws and how to deal with them. Gorgeous Tiger I! I have the mission models bender as well as a Hold N Fold (which predated the MM one). The groove in the MM is designed to register the edge of a razor blade once the part is secure. I've never had any difficulty getting a crisp bend that way no matter the size of the PE.

  • @allanrichards3752

This is a nice kit but probably not one for the novice. Its years since I built a Tiger 1 but I think I should revisit this subject as the kits have improved so much. I recently built the Takom Chieftain where all the track links were individual but without pins. They were a real PITA to do to get to look correct and the timing of the glue setting was critical, too soon and the came apart and too late and the track would not lay right. I think if I were to do it again I would drill out the end section of track to put a small metal pin in to hold the track and make it into a temporary workable track.
