  I had one rabbit who needed regular top teeth trimmed (they were like tusks, like he said). I used nail clippers which was super fast and luckily never split the teeth (I hadn’t thought of that). I just saw that my vet charges over £170 (more than $200), which was quite a shock.

  I have a wild baby that does not have his eyes open - something happened to mom and the only one that survived out of 5. I just have a blanket and a small pet carrier. Using canned cat milk with a tablespoon of heavy cream. I am open to any advice or resources to know I’m giving enough food and other care

  I have been feeding 9 babies due to mother passed away. They are 2 days old. I’ve been using a bubble piper. It works out well. Great video.

  @@cassandra6533 I had a friend who agreed to help me with 5 of them. She’s a full time mom and has a little more time than me. Unfortunately, 4 of hers passed. They were so tiny and not eating well. 1 of mine was born with a rash and has since passed. I picked up the last one she had and have been working with them. There’s 4 left. So to answer your question, not as good as I had hoped but the last 4 seems to be doing good.

  I’m so thankful that my first buck is gentle, fit, and super assertive all in one. He actually does better in our small run space because he can tire the doe out. His first time was with an already pregnant doe (I desperately wish I’d known), but despite her protests even got her to lift up. It took a while, so I was worried that he’d get permanently discouraged… but not even close!

  I currently have 3 born in a burrow in my yard. Mom comes to feed them. They are over a week old, not sure exactly when they were born. I didn't know they were there. It rained their camp must have gotten flooded made them come out last Sat. I'm wondering how long they'll be here. When it's going to rain I cover it with a chair so they won't get wet, lol. They are so cute!

  My Netherlands dwarf rabbit just had 3 kits, she keeps going in cleaning them and feeds them five times a day contrary to what everyone says once or twice a day which is from when rabbits used to be wild they do that to lessen the chance of her attracing predators with her scent, so looks like my rabbit is so at ease in my house she is not doing that, she even saw one of her 5-day-old kits today come out of the nesting area so she went and licked him or her until it crawled all the way back to the others, more like a cat.

  This is disgusting how you keep these poor rabbits makes me sick. Those wire cages are extremely bad for the poor rabbits paws. It bends their feet where it's so unrecognizable. We live in a day and age where we don't need rabbit meat anymore, they are very nice and beautiful creatures with lots of personality, and it's not just rabbits but other animals too the way they are kept in nasty cold dark conditions and tucked away until they are slaughtered. You are one of those people who makes a profit off of the animals suffering, at the end, you make me sick.

  There should be no wire in a rabbit pen whether they're born on it or not because wire causes sore hocks in bunnies!!!

  The proper flooring for a rabbit is wire flooring. Thick wire but wire. They should have a way to get off wire, like a ceramic tile, but wire. I have made many many cages with many many different flooring options. The best for the rabbit is a wire floor.

  You should have put a pen inside his mouth in a similar fashion to a horse with a bit in its mouth, so that you didnt risk cutting his lips and tongue. Other than that's, not bad.

  I have never had a bunny that teeth grew and didn't grind down woth chewing so it is not something I thought to check for plus even just to puck our bunny up you have to put a towel around him to keep his paws from scatchimg me to death. His teeth are horrid I though he was sick so I took him out so I could check his belly for hardness etc and I trimmed his nails which was sure a chore with him mating being held but then I noticed his teeth and that is definitely why he isn't eating much. They are about an inch and rounding like they are trying to turn inward on the bottom amd top teeth are a little shorter but also starting to round a bit. I feel so bad No vet within 850kms from me will take an 'exotic animal' as they call th, not even just for a one time teeth trimming amd then now that I know that he has teeth like this I can keep them better with learning how to maintain them but I'm so scated to do it myself for the first time when they are so bad. I also don't think that a trip of 850 kms each way 1700kms round trip would be something he could handle without having a heart attack. Now that I know he will need it done all the time I can try and provide more chewing stuff fir him and file them when they aren't this bad and make him somehow get ised to being handled more (he has hated it right from baby age) but I'm just so scared. Also what type of tool is it that you put the diamond blade onto? I will jave to buy the tool and the diamond end whatever it is called. This rabbit is my daughters world and he is eating so little that his belly rumbled constantly tly for 3 days now and I thought he had a belly bug or stasis or something which I have nursed him back from before he us řyears old and jas gotten so sick that I was syringe feeding him 24 7 fir a qerk not being able to find a vet. Like why can't they fit him in? They ajavr lots of Apts available next week but as soon as she heard we are a new customer all of a sudden they are too visy to take new patients. I cant beleive a vet can say no let him siffer pretty much. That wpuld be Luke a physician telling a small child that he wo t gi e th medicine so go home and suffer u til you die. If they have Apts available, why wont they help him for f**k sakes. Ridiculous

  Thank you so much. We had tried the syringe with cow's milk until we could get some kitten milk replacer, and now that we have it and kitten feeding bottle, I find out that rabbits don't usually do well from a kitten bottle. So we're going to move back to the syringe like you're doing it and give it a shot. I appreciate the advice.

  You will see a major difference as they approach butcher age. The californias will put on a lot of weight and muscle and the rex will slow way down. I have both but my californias are excellent meat stock so lines do matter. The rex are beautiful rabbits but we are closing ours out as I do not have the patience to wait on their growth. We raise rabbits basically for meat only.

  Why are you leaving pregnant bunnies in wire bottom cages, and expecting them to give birth in freezing weather? These are domestic animals.
