  In short, the yellow meter is filled up by defending/parrying attacks, once the meter is full, the posture breaks and you can kill the boss (one deathblow) instantly The manual explains the posture system in Sekiro. www.fromsoftware.jp/manual/sekiroshadowsdietwice/stadia/mechanics.html
