  Beautiful build I love that color i’m doing the same build as you right now as we speak all I’m doing now is waiting for my paint i’m going with purple licious lacquer same colors is Old Tom willies I just picked up big John’s 41 Willys that will be in a candy apple red anyway beautiful build love the color you painted it👍🏼

  Really, REALLY, nice job building this one, man! Fantastic job (and the window net looks perfect!) 👌 ON a side note: It really drives me nuts that none of these model companies seem to have anyone on board that knows anything about engines... They're absolutely terrible in these kits!! 😡 I'm working on one of these now, and it has an "LS" style block, water pump and front mounted "Ford" distributor kit, with a dry sump pan, and also an "LS" style intake manifold. That's all good I suppose... BUT, then, it uses headers with siamesed exhaust ports like an "old" SBC, along with "old" style heads and (distorted looking) old SBC valve covers. (I use most of the late 80's early 90's monogram nascar engines for donor parts)... Also, the instructions tell you to move the distributor to the back of the "LS" intake manifold if using the square hood! WHAT?! If that were a real engine, I'd LOVE to have a look at what those heads look like in order to run evenly spaced intake ports with that exhaust port spacing! I dunno... I can't be the ONLY one that expects a model of a RACE car to have an "real" looking engine, can I?

  I have the brass rod to put in the carb but im trying to figure out how you guys are drilling the air cleaner top unless you drill through it because its not thick enough to drill into without going completely through it.

  Really beautiful model! I owned a 1970 Chevelle in that same color. I loved that car and it started a lifetime passion for all 1966-1970 Chevelles. Thanks for posting!

  i bought the hurd mod kits for $200 because i really want a mod kit and the wes kits didnt come out yet. they arent bad but a little complicated to fit together. and now hurd has a few other body styles nice extra parts. it does look a little small though. i do recommend if you have the money look into the hurd kit. you wont be disapointed
