Beautiful. Will you explain the process of making this type of pot. Example….. why so many holes and are the feet necessary too? I just am trying to determine the best pots for your plants and bonsai. Thanks in advance
The additional holes are for both drainage and to give the artist options for wiring the tree. The placement is part function, and part personal artistic aesthetic choice.
Will plaster of paris work?
There are people who have used it, but it's a much weaker form of plaster. Pottery plaster would be preferable.
@@BlueNoseTrading thanks for sharing
I see that you are mixing by weight percentages. How did you determine the amount of water in the slip vs the amount of clay and did that impact your math for concentration?
Oh, I just did a wing it with slip left over from throwing. You can always add a little water, or give it a little time to adjust your water content to a consistency that feels right for you.
Thanks for this video, I am also looking for something to do with my "extra" pottery items. I do love your chicken audience <3
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching 😊🐓
Thanks for the honest review! I’ve been on the fence about trying one for a while now but can never justify it :-). Never thought about the trimmings going everywhere because of the extra height!
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching 😊
I bought this wheel because of this video and I cannot wait for it to arrive today! I have a mini Vevor I love.
Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for watching 😊
Dear god it looked flat for a moment and then gave me a heart attack 😂 Good job on the glazing too!
Thank you! 😊
Love your videos ❤!
Thanks for watching! 🙏😊
I didn't get my mom's family's artistic gene but watching the skill & artistic abilities of people like this is amazing to see what they can create.
Thanks for watching :)

Love this 👌🏻 - which brush are you using?
Just some cheap acrylic brush from a set 😉
Nice
So pretty
Thank you!
Очень красиво❤, тема моря🏞️
It's beautiful
Thank you so much!
Cool
Adorable slanty shanty! Slap some of that paint on the door too. Since it's an interior door, it's not sealed properly. It will last for ages if you paint it as well. A great alternative that I like for this kind of thing is clear driveway sealer!
Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it 😊
👍
This looks so unique and nice!!! Love it❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
So pretty❤❤
Impressive! Did you make this on the wheel and add on or did you do it by hand?
wheel thrown and then a slab top added. :)
@@BlueNoseTrading awesome !!!!!

Thumb rest AND a moustache guard?? 👏🏻
modern luxury 🤩
Love this!
Thank you!!
Perfectly imperfect. Or imperfectly perfect.
Exactly! 😉
you can also just use water tight containers. evaporation will be next to 0 and you dont need a plaster bat
I've found I have longer lasting, and more even moisture content with the plaster in the plastic as compared to without. I live in a very hot climate, so maybe that's a part of it. But I love that you have found something that works for you.
@@BlueNoseTrading i live in western australia so can relate to to having to deal with extreme heat and very low humidities. the box im talking about is different to the one your using. it needs to be water tight and to particular rating. i only know what that is in my country sorry. but the boxes are noticeably different in that they have a rubber gasket that prevents water particles from escaping. they are not perfect but if they are the right ones they should always result in less water loss. if you cant get the boxes though a plaster bat definitely helps A LOT!!
thanks, I had everything but which way the angle on the tabletop🙂. also, I hope I never need that bag of spare parts. 😖
Thanks for watching! I'm glad the video was helpful and you were able to get the roller together successfully. So far, I've had no use for the spare parts, and thankfully so because I have no idea where those are now 😆
Are you a Professional Ceramist?
Yeah, I'd say so 😉
❤❤❤
this is so satisfying 😍
This cranberry glaze is gorgeous!!! What brand of glaze is that or is it your own?❤❤❤
Thank you! This is one that I make for myself ❤️
Nice
Thank you 😊
Sweet!
Thanks!

For planting a keeping little trees (bonsai) :)

Oooh, that looks like it smells like strawberries and cream!!
What kind of clay is it? (Aardvark Obisdian???)
This one is Laguna B-3 😊
Hi and thank you for the helpful tips!! How did you decide to use 10lbs of plaster? I followed the mathematical instructions of a different video because I wasn't sure where to start with how much water/plaster to use for my specific container and it turned out HUGE. I wasted a ton of plaster and am hoping to try again. Without being able to rely on experience, how can someone figure out how much plaster they should use, given the dimensions of their container? Thanks again!
Thanks for watching! The plaster came in a bag of 10 lbs, and the ratio calculator said it worked out for the pan size. Here's a link to a plaster volume calculator if you're using a different mold or pan plaster.glazy.org/
Thanks a ton for responding!
