  The ILS was not offered by Springfield to get onto the roster in Commiefornia. This little PITA was introduced long before that. I have two TRP Full Rail version, First Gen USA and a CA approved version and it's little baby brother the Champion and they all have this lock. This pistol was first made outside of the USA When they started making this First Gen US pistol this little PITA lock showed up. Has absolutely nothing to do with Commiefornia. The only difference between the two Roster and non Roster pistols is they submitted one to Commiefornia for testing nothing more. The ILS was there when it was tested and it must stay on the pistol if they want to keep selling them in Commifornia. Springfield has dropped the ILS for everyone else. US versions had these "safety" features long before they submitted the pistol to CA. Springfield only carries the CA model number now because if they don't it would fall off the list and be unavailable again to those behind the iron curtain.

  Great review and that helps me understand more about the 1911. I bought a Springfield Garrison 1911 9mm and fell in love with the way it shoots and than I purchased the same in the 45ACP and they are both fantastic handguns. Than I ordered me a Springfield Operator 45ACP and I can't wait to get it in and shoot it, three more days.

  Thanks for a great video. If you’re a shooter rather than a collector/speculator, and I understand your point. The 1911 is an excellent, but old design that requires hand fitting for reliability and accuracy. Even a high end custom 1911 may not have a balance and recoil impulse that works for everyone. I like that your individual performance with the pistol drives your decision to keep or trade it.

  I realized that custom 1911s aren’t for me. I want a gun that’s combat accurate and works. Colts and Springfield’s are good enough for me. I’ve had 0 issue’s with both companies but issues with 3 customs, and 1 custom single action army. In fact my favorite gun is a simple Springfield armory mil-spec.

  I’ve started to realize the same thing. Custom/semi custom just aren’t for me. All my 1911’s have been sold except my Colt rail gun and my Springfield MC Operator. They perform fantastic for me

  The first time I saw a glowing review and then a 'not recommended', I thought it was odd but hey, sometimes bad companies make good products and I am not privy to behind the scenes things and just wrote it off. When it happened again I got suspicious, and found this to be a pattern. I have unsubbed from these two as I want an actual review of the gun being shown, not the opinion of a couple of prima donnas on how well the company that made the gun kissed their ass. Too many shooters offering honest experiences on the tube to be wasting my time with clowns.

  When customizing a staccato on their website they let you pick between aluminum or steel frames, which is best? Pros & cons?

  Unless you plan on carrying the P (aluminum is lighter) I’d say steel frame all day. More weight = more stabilized platform

  @@AnonDW40worth it to me. Dont plan on dropping my Staccato muzzle down from shoulder height 😂. In all seriousness if this in fact an issue, it seems an easy fix. Heavier spring with a lighter firing pin from Staccato for anyone concerned. Interested in seeing what happens.

  I had to sell all of firearms before to buy a house the only thing I did is get a CZ Shadow 2 and then I modified to my taste . At the end the one you shot the more accurate and with confidence always win for me . I had high end guns and they malfunction a lot

  You can’t deny that they are content is some of the best on KZread if you want to see a firearm being ran with a brief opinion given. From a righty and a lefties perspective and I never buy a firearm without checking with B9USA first. i’m subscribed to the Beretta and CZ channel and I haven’t watched a video from them in a while. Probably due to shadow banning, I don’t know. But I doubt they would create fake subscribers because what does that do? Their content is good enough already. It’s educational content more so than entertainment content which we tend to subscribe to but forget about because we’re narrowminded and want to be entertained but we only check in with them when we want confirmation before I purchase. This whole video reminds me of your thumbnail only it represents you. You’re thinking way too hard and way too deep but not thinking efficiently.

  Their content is trash. Their followers are mostly fake. This has been well known and proven within the 1911 community, notable gunsmiths, and forums…..(outside of simpleton KZread watchers). Anyone who is credible in the 1911 world knows they are a joke. It’s why no credible gunmaker will work with them anymore. Hell…I can post a video of a gun review, with only 800 followers, and get the same or sometimes MORE views than they can. And they have 227K followers?? No man…that’s not how it works LOL. Numbers don’t lie. If anyone lacks critical thinking ability here, it’s you. Guys like you are the reason they did it in the first place….to have the appearance of success. Looks like it worked. But if you’re into listening to opinions of shills in order to justify feeling good about buying a gun….you do you.

  Their content is some of the best shill content on KZread. Turn a blind eye if you want, but if you look at their video history, they have videos praising other brands that suddenly became “not recommended” due to no longer receiving preferential treatment. Once they started publicly calling out Rob S, who had been good to them and tried to diffuse the situation, that was all I needed to know about their character.
