How do you store beads that have been in water if you want to keep them for a longer period of time? Can they be left to dry without any damage or do they need to be in water in the future?

I just finished putting a baby bird (eyes still closed) back in it's nest. The mom flew away as I approached the nest. I certainly hope that I did the right thing because I've heard that we should not do this. If anyone asks, I'll let you know what happened. The mama looks similar to a dove but noticeably smaller.

Then you would have to pinch or cut the dead flowers off, and if you want to you could dry them and save them to give the seeds to the birds in winter :)

Latin caragana arborescens. An almost indestructible hardy shelterbelt bush used extensively on the Canadian Prairies and counterpart areas of the USA. When farmsteads were abandoned in the '30s these usually remain to this day as the most obvious lasting evidence. Known as caragana. Considered a weed in some jurisdictions. Provides nectar very early. Doesn't care for standing water.

They are extremely durable. Iv lived here for 12 years, and for the first 10 I had this dead looking tree thing in my frnt yard that I had no idea what to do with. Assumed it needed to go. Finnally two years ago I started trying to garden, and dug out all around the roots and pulled out all sorts of crap, added new soil and boom, a beautiful tree again. These last two years it's produced all these beautiful yellow flowers and then these bean pods (which I still have no idea what to do with ) Any tips for a new gardener ??

@@erinjoy5625 Like a potato chip, I've never heard of one all by itself. We planted ours 30 years ago, about 500 in 2 rows totaling 800 feet long on north and west side of farmstead for a wind break. Now there are 10s or 100s of thousands of little ones and I've given up trying to control them in the fireguard. Ranging from 6 inches to 10 feet high. Some say pods and seeds are edible. I don't know. If you really like them you could spread those pods when they fall off where you want new ones to grow. When they get going they are virtually uncontrollable. Great for protecting gardens from wind. Where I live they are as early as dandelions for nectar.
