Awesome Video mate, I had a p0299 under boost fault code , followed your video and it was also the transducer on my van that was faulty , thanks for posting the video 😊
@@kevcampbell3365 thankyou, glad it helped
Was you getting codes p0299, p2067,p2068,p2263 and p2359 for this fault

Ummm, how come you missed the important bit, showing the install ….. seriously?
@bluesurfertodd You want to see someone pushing a window frame into a hole? That's literally all that's missing 🤷♂️ and its as simple as that, push in, screw the inside frame on. Thought that bit would be pretty boring to see. Thanks for the comment though.
@@MJF85 for someone who has not done it before, I'd like to see the whole thing, but point taken. : ). Also wondering if the windows have to be curved or can any flat window be installed in the van walls. Embarking on choosing the windows very soon.
@bluesurfertodd it was my first time too, measure a lot before cutting, if it looks right just go for it. The van walls are slightly curved, they deform a little bit with flat windows but not enough for it to be massively noticeable.
Hi. I have the same issue with my sprinter and feel like its loosing boost was the same issue with yours and black smoke ??
@northgeorge40 Loss pf power and eml on but no smoke. Smoke usually indicates a boost leak or intake air restriction, I'd be checking for air leaks in the intake system.
@MJF85 i faind the red intercooler pipe cracked change that but still not 100% i will carry on checking for leak
Thanka

when i finish all my garden things in my new home by the river , i will be looking to buy these, i got a little one for ladybirds already. just love to help bugs in any possible way
It all helps. I've planted a lot of colourful flowers this year as well, plus I made a batbox for the garage wall too.
Hi where's location of PCV valve on that engine.thanks
@victortoderica4497 hi, I don't have one to look at anymore but there is a breather built into the camshaft cover

Can I get the fuel filter replacement video
Sorry, don't have the car anymore
Hi. I changed both the solenoids. And checked all the hoses, no leaks. But when i clamp the hose as you do, the car goes much better, to a point at 90km/h and then limp mode.. the car drives better when the hose i clamped, but the P2263 error is still there. What can be wrong here? Thanks in advance.
It's not a good idea to drive it with the hose clamped, it could cause too high boost pressure. Hard to tell without seeing it and diagnosing, ideally needs a vacuum tester to test everything moves as it should, possibly smoke test to check for leaks.
Vacum tested all the hose and changed both solenoids. Whats the next step?@@MJF85
Whats the next step if all the hose is not leaking? @@MJF85
Dzięki za film 👍
Thankyou
Nice one mate, straight to the point tutorial 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Great. Thank you
Thankyou
Not a good idea to hang the calliper on the brake hose
Any idea how to remove fan cover? That black cover…my heater has code for glow plug but after i took it apart and tested the glow plug it works but my fan is jammed 😅
Fan covers just clip on, watch from around 4:20, fan should then be able to be spun freely.
My turbo was making a light metallic rattle sound when the turbo would kick in, it would also sound deeper and grunty now its in limp mode any ideas what this could be?
Good video’ Would you know how many litres the Diff will take? I’ve got a vw crafter’ so would this be the same. ? Thanks.
I believe its 1.5litres. Thanks
@@MJF85 Thanks 🙏
The best video ever watched right to the point. Thank you.
Thanks 👍
Hay nice idea, is this as efficient as the cabin heater with fuel and battery usage ?
I haven't had chance to compare but the fuel pumps on these are a larger capacity than the air heaters so I'd assume they use slightly more fuel (40ml pump rather than a 16-22ml). Battery wise, possibly a little bit more as they have a water pump as well as the fan motor, although the fan motor on these has less work to do as its only drawing in combustion air rather than having to blow air into the cabin.
The filter nut looks like a standard hex nut, why do you say a special socket is required?
If I remember correctly it's a 76mm 14 flute socket, you don't get them in any normal socket set.
Thanks so much for this video, I have a c class with same engine. Is it not possible to use an air foot pump to do the same job as the Mityvac?? Thanks
It could work but the system is designed for vacuum rather than being pressurised, I don't know wether pressure would damage the seals in the solenoids or damage the diaphragm in the actuators.
@@MJF85 Hey thank you so much for prompt reply. Ok fair enough, thanks for your input, didn't think there would be a difference between vacuum and pressure. Appreciate it

I had this same issue for a while and the garage couldn’t fix it. After about 6 months it was due for an MOT and it failed due to an oil leak. The oil filler neck connection at the engine was faulty and loose causing the oil leak which I think was also causing a vacuum leak in the engine. The filler neck was repaired and the fault code never returned (I would go into limp mode pretty regularly). Just an idea for those who are having trouble resolving this.
Thanks for sharing, modern engines don't like any kind of air leaks.
Hi, how many of these solenoids are there on the om65 ? i have a c220 cdi with the same code p226300, some times i get a different code that says faulty boost control b is faulty. now i have noticed i have 2 similar solenoids one in front of the engine close to the water pump and the other is tucked under egr and closer to the brake booster. which one of the 2 did you need to change ? the big turbo actuator gets its vacuum from the one under the egr on my car.
Thanks to this video, I repaired my sprinter . 👍merci
Good to hear, thanks
I have Corsa 2017 and got engine service light on and power reduced, diagnosed it as pedal accelerator, but it’s damn expensive in our country over 500$ is there a way to fix it or any idea ? 🙏 Thank you
Great, proper helpful vid, you win.x
Thanks
Hi I have the same car but have a DSG automatic gearbox would the drain and full be in the same location?
No, for the DSG its entirely different brother
I have error "P2263'22 - The boost pressure deviates from the specific value. The signal amplitude is greater than maximum amplitude." Did you have same error code? Or was it under boosted?
Hi! Thanks for the video. I have doubts about use this FAE kit, or bought honda oem(very expensive) Is the fae kit good enought?
Honda won't make the chain themselves, it'll be from a company like fae. The fae kit was fine for the 30,000 miles of hard driving I did until the car was written off in an accident.
Thanks for the video. We bought a crv same as this which is a non runner. Old owner said it had engine slapping and then engine oil light came on and it cut out. We stripped it down as per your instructions to find the main timing chain guides broken up and chain very loose. Oil pump chain looks good. How should we test to check if engine has skipped a tooth or 2 on the timing? If it had would it do damage? No evidence of metal fillings in oil but could it have bent valves etc? Thanks for any help in advance
If the camshaft timing marks line up with the crank lined up and cylinder 1 at tdc then the timing should be OK. I don't know wether these are interference engines but it's likely (valves hitting pistons when timing is out). I'd be concerned about the oil light coming on with the pump chain being OK.
Man, that's satisfying. Nice rig 😁👍
Türkçe olursa memnun olurum
Hi..Thanks for the video!can you tell me please if you have the ignition on when you do the test or ignition off?when is on is not hold the pressure is leaking from the filter. Thank you in advance
Could you please inform me of the mileage at which the timing chain was replaced for the car? I'm planning to buy a car with the same engine with 112k mileage.
I think this one was about 130k miles. They are a good engine, the chains can last for many more miles, this was more a precautionary replacemant.
what size clocks do you use and where do you get them thank you
Thanks again! Back after a couple years to do this one again 👍
Thanks
Anyone know if a faulty vacuum pump could cause low boost faults ? With engine running Should there be vac pressure going through main hose pipe from vac pump to brake booster/servo ?
can i have the info of your source
Какой интервал замены масла ??? Я меняю каждые 7 тыс.
Hi, I think its every 12,000 miles (20,000 kms) or every 12 months.
Merci beaucoup 🎉
Thankyou
What size clock you using and where are you buying them from?
Hi John, the clocks I use are different sizes according to the size of the conrod big end, i just pick the closest size clock. I get them from a wholesaler in the UK.
I too am doing some research on this, Ive got exactly the same fault as in this video i have not long paid a garage I know to replace my twin turbo with a brand new/recon warranty unit + manifold studs & gasket + rocker cover gasket & 4 injectors. I now get P226300 but in really weird situations. Start up and drive off, do nearly 100 miles, up hill, down hill, long up hills, long down hills and no bother (all variations of high boost/high load) Yet, I then park up for a day, get back in it again, do the same thing again but in reverse and within 15 minutes, high boost & high load, EML on, limp mode and fuel burn is rediculous. I end up pulling over, turn it off, turn it on again and its ok for the rest of the 60-70 mile return trip up & down hill on high boost & high load. Driving with limp mode as per fuel burn, i have to let it reset itself to return the van to a semi economical state. I think the garage replaced with aftermarket solenoids so im going to get them genuine units and try again. I think they found this video tbh as they also said they did some research and did a vac test test and didnt detect any leaks.
It might also be worth having the intake system smoke tested to make sure the inlet manifold isn't leaking.
Good shout - i built my own smoke tester when i had strange faults with my e46, this dis show up a very small leak. ill give this a go myself - thanks 👍

Hello. Ive got a problem. When i revv the engine i hear a whistle noise now if that normal coming from the turbo.? Also you mention the hose with the filter i saw my filter doesnt connect to anything under... Even tho i see it has a connecter on the other side for a hose.
Hi. I need to do this job on my 08 CR-V EX. I have seen some mechanics struggle with seized bolts and rust. Did you have this problem? How long did this job take please? Ta. Gav.
I didn't have a problem but the threads are prone to rusting so it could be an issue. Plenty of wd40 or similar might help. Takes about half an hour or so.
Reviving an old video. Are the DTEC 2.2 oil pump set up the same as the CDTI?
Hi, afraid i don't know the answer to this, chances are they're probably very similar.
Hello ! This faulty turbo solenoid can cause of unburn fuel like black smoke?.. ive got the code P226300
Hi, it could do as the turbo's won't be working properly so they may not make enough boost.
