    Hi, thanks for this video! How did you handle the situation with your address - there’s also a document for this like registration (address) confirmation, right? How do you do this if you don’t yet have an own address… Also I read that 2 local people with cedula have to be present for this? Thank you!

    Hello, not 100% sure if I understood your question. Address in the previous country or in PY? No one asked me for either one of them, and no one will send documents by post to you. You always need to come to the government and collect the documents.

    @@alexcariocarjThanks for the quick reply! Based on my research one of the documents you’ll need to gather in PY (police department), is the confirmation of your residence in PY. According to my understanding they would like to know the address where I’m going to live in Paraguay. But seems like for you this wasn’t the case!

    @@downwardspiral5 No, I've read the law, on the official website, just in case, and no extra requirements have been added, so based on what is written there, you do not need a proof of residence. Which means if an address is required in one of the forms, you can just put the address of the place you're staying

    Hey there! Another question! You said you hired an agency to pick up your temporary residency, apply for your cedula and later send you the documents. May I ask how much you paid for this service? Was really 1 visit to PY enough to get everything handled? Thanks a lot!

    Hey amigo, thanks for watching and commenting. The website with the musical credits is on the video description, just click on the text to unfold the rest. The law office was called Scaglia y Asociados. If you google that name, you'll be able to have a look at their website and all their contacts. Wishing you best of luck in your endeavours.

    @@alexcariocarj Thanks. Do you know how long do I have to be in the country to convert the residencia precaria to permanent, also to convert permanent to citizenship? Can I just visit from time to time and be able to do that?

  • @alexcariocarj
    @alexcariocarj2 ай бұрын

    @j.s.2094 I would recommend going for Residencia Temporal, which is different from Residencia Precaria. After Residencia Temporal, you need to be in the country two years until you can apply for Permanent Residence. According to searches I've done online, one needs to be a legal resident of the country for 3 years after receiving the Permanent residence to apply for citizenship, added to showing proof that they have a regular job and have no criminal record. But as I always advise, search official sources from the government, rather than information via third party. Best of luck in your endeavours

    I visited Asuncion on August 15,2023. The weather was hot but not that bad. Many people are kind and respectful and they also like to help you. We were looking to find our address. The taxi driver and two other gentlemen were really helpful. One of them even walked one block to show the right number. However we gave him a good tip. I had a bad experience the next day of arrival. I walked alone to a busy market which had a lot of very small shops. Maybe it is some kind of bazaar. I entered a shopping plaza. There were not that many people there. I walked almost to the end of this place. It ended with some stairs to the end of the plaza. I saw a toilet. The sign was for men and women. I entered the men section. But one woman who was collecting money yelled at me to go to the other side. There was also another toilet on the other side. I walked there and I felt someone was following me. He stopped right at the front door after me. I got a little suspicious and finished it very fast. When I turned around to come out, I saw a huge guy just one step away from me. His face looked exactly like criminals with a lot of scars on it. He was hiding something behind him. Because both his hands were behind him. It looked like he was attempting to attack. I am a tall person with 180 centimeters, with a slim body. He was taller than me and looked very strong. I didn't panic and looked at his eyes and said Holla. He didn't say anything and let me pass. I also said hello to the other guy at the front door and rushed out to the lady who was collecting money. I paid good money. I think all the people over there knew each other. They purposely sent me to that washroom. I am really happy that it went all well for me. The name of the street which ends at that bazar is (Silvio Pettriossi ). It is a bazaar with very small shops and you can find almost everything from clothes, food, electronics, kids toys and a lot of other stuff. I will never go to such places alone. Especially to places which are hidden in the back of the street. I have seen a lot of nice places like big shopping plazas like (del Sole Shopping Lifestyle). My advice is be very careful to go places like that one alone and be very vigilant. I don't go out at night. Overall my experience of visiting Paraguay is positive. I had rented a place through Airbnb. It is a very nice and clean apartment. It cost $750 Canadian dollars for 11 days. The area of the city is not that clean but it is the most of the streets in Asuncion. The food is also not that cheap, especially fruit and veggies, only alcohol and meats are really cheap. It is no wonder almost all stores have alcohol. If you decide to travel to Paraguay, try to have most of your money in US dollars. Only the Central bank accepts other currency and this bank is open only until 2 pm. I wish you all the best of luck if you visit this country. I also found this web site very informative. Thanks.

  • @alexcariocarj
    @alexcariocarj Жыл бұрын

    It's valid for 2 years. As for the second question, there is nothing official from the PY government, some say there is no specfic requirement, some say you need to stay at least one day in the country during that period. The only thing I can say for sure: your passport is checked if you arrive via the capital's international airport. However, that is not the ONLY port of entry in and out of Paraguay @CheckOut

    @CheckOut From my understanding, this is up to the discretion of the Migraciones staff, they will analyze whether you have "bonds" with the country, that can mean anything, but having a bank account opened and a permanent address would probably help. Bear in mind legislation can always change - obviously I am hoping it doesn't, at least not until I get my permanent residency 🙂

    Alex, gostei muito do vídeo, aliás esses lugares são os lugares que planejo ir no futuro rsrs. mas uma pergunta só. eu me informei sobre o visto bielorrusso e pelo que eu vejo, é um saco de tirá-lo, pois você deve ir com uma agência de turismo que o consulado te passa, e daí eles entram com o processo de aplicação de visto. como foi pra você? você tirou o visto com agência? e como foi? Eu planejo ir pra bielorrússia em fevereiro (nem me lembre do frio rsrs). muito bom!

  • @alexcariocarj
    @alexcariocarj9 жыл бұрын

    Alô Ivan, desculpe mas desconheço processo no Brasil, já que não moro aí. Mas parece o mesmo que fiz na Holanda: você deve comparecer à embaixada/consulado uma vez conseguida a "letter of invitation" (carta convite), feita através de uma agência de turismo em Minsk. Esta agência envia o documento e você chega com o passaporte, e uns dias depois, recolhe com o visto. Isto da carta-convite é igual para vários países da ex-URSS, especialmente os asiáticos: Uzbequistão, Cazaquistão e Quirguízia, por exemplo. Já na Rússia e Ucrânia, brasileiros nao precisam de visto.

  • @ivanpistelli8449

    A carta, um ou dois dias. O visto, creio que depende da embaixada, mas normalmente sete dias úteis
