Hey Radio Chaser, Thanks for the comments. Those "wall antennas” were for communications as far as I have gathered. Some relayed to the Philippines as I was told. There was a group of them right next to our flight line. Scroll down through the comments you’ll find comments about the 21st signal battalion and others about said antennas. Thanks for the kind comments on the video.

I had it fairly easy with the cleanup on New Year’s Day. Karen did the tree decorations. The big cleanup was Christmas day from Christmas Eve gathering. Some 15 adults 6 screaming kids, minestrone with everyone bringing finger goodies, the cutthroat gift exchange, singing and kid performance, dollar gifts and visit from Santa handing out some kid gifts. All the kids are past Santa age but the tradition continues. The lights on the tree was the last thing. Happy New Year, and yes, we got your card!

Ah the memories!! I served with the 498th Air Ambulance Company in Nha Trang late in 1966. This was a time of transition for a lot of Army equipment. The piston era was still going strong, but the turbines were rising! I left the Nam before the Tet offensive. I was wondering how all of the guys from my old unit felt about standing in line to draw their weapons from locked conex containers while the battle raged around them. I don't mean to be funny, but that's the way it was. I imagine the policy changed after the Tet.

Love the huge pour! So many questions....How long did you have the torches on the sprues? Was that green sand or oil based? Did you heat the molds to harden them or simply to remove moisture? What was the liquid you sprayed on the mold? Finally, what was the part for? Thanks for you time.
@collinsurbert212 Жыл бұрын
The torches were on the risers for about 2 hours, until the metal level stopped dropping. I used a green sand. I didn't heat the molds, I was just burning off the solvent in the mold spray. The mold spray is called Top Bond B, it hardens the top layer of sand so it doesn't wash around in the mold. They are heater plate components for plastic pipe welding equipment.
