  I guess my view number is 747. A great discussion! My first exposure to this was from the Book of Enoch, taken from and translated from the Ethiopian Library (?), where it is written, that there are 4 large chambers inside the planet Earth, in which 3 chambers are for the evil, and one for the righteous, but after all this time since I read the book (it was borrowed from a friend, I read it in 2009, so I may not have all the details recalled perfectly), with sides as smooth as glass.   God is Love (or Charity) and God is Master. 1 John 4:8 “He that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is charity.” Matthew 23:10 "Neither be ye called masters; for one is your master, Christ.” The Antichrist will call himself love and master. The word Maitreya literally means love. It can also mean master or teacher. In Hebrew, (Hebrew is written and read from right to left) Maitreya is written as Mem = 40, yod = 10, tau = 400, resh = 200, he = 5, yod = 10, aleph = 1, whose sum equals 666. There is a person by the name of Maitreya and this is the Antichrist although he may change his name once he comes to power. The mark of the beast will be a microchip placed in the hand of a person allowing the Antichrist and his agents to control the people. At the time directed by the agents of the Antichrist, they will summon the people who took the Mark of the Beast and force them to worship the Antichrist at services. By passing a light beam among those with the chip, it will excite the chip, and bring these people under a hypnotic state. These people will be drawn to worship the Antichrist as often as the agents desire. The people will follow the agent’s wishes to perform whatever they want.

  If the Gospel is first to the Jew why would these writings be originally written in Greek.? Greek culture was as all other cultures, pagan: Why then would the God breathed inspiration be transmitted in any other language other than Hebrew/Aramaic. There are idiomatic expressions that are indicative of the Semitic culture and does not translate well into Greek. Is it possible that those early believers being mostly Jewish, would not have received the Brit Hadasha in their language? We discount the Book of Mormon just for one reason! Claimed to be written in Egyptian hieroglyphics. Again why would the Creator use a pagan culture's language to originate His sacred Word. So then, inspired and expressed in the Semitic and immediately translated into the lingua franca of the day (Greek).

  Luke knew Matthew. I think that's very likely. Luke's gospel starts with "forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a narrative of those things which are surely believed among us, even as they were eyewitness of the truth... I thought it was good also..." "Many." If Matthew is not included in this many... then what exactly are these "many" narratives? And where are they today? Come to think of it, that last question holds regardless. And Dr Goodacre is completely right on his ordering here, according to how the synoptic texts piece together.   So in spite of two thousand years and hundreds of translations the word hate still appears instead of "love less". When, if ever, can we trust the plain meaning of the text and not go into some convoluted journey through the old testament to find out what the new testament authors ment in spite of the two being written in different languages and times. Lets say for example that you are not sure what i mean by "still appears". You could go to a good dictionary and look up the common usages for the word "appears" or you could go to the old or middle english meaning of the word appears, see how Chaucer used the word. Now which makes more sense?
