I need a adapter plate to block the intake on a 372. The rubber between the carb and boot never seals bc as you tighten it down it actually spreads the top of the boot away from the carb. Do you have a part number or something?
Sure Call MCSS and they can sell you one, I’m assuming your wanting one for the X-Torq ? Here’s their # 541-863-5387
Very helpful. Thank you
@@MarshallBLewis did a lot of plastic welding over the years, Take care friend! WestCoastMuscleSaws TheChainSawGuy Rich
Rich, the Echo 2500t battery top handle chainsaw is excellent. It's the battery version of the 2511t
@@TheRoafer that’s a great saw, Take Care, WestCoastMuscleSaws TheChainSawGuy Rich
Man Brother your using a toy saw and not a muscle saw lol Good little toy saw.
Lol. I thought these were a joke until I used one. Super handy for small limbs , shrubbery. WestCoastMuscleSaws TheChainSawGuy Rich
Hey, do you have a Sylvi race chain on there? 😅Robert from New York
@@44place85 Hi Robert, No, but should’ve, Lol. Rich
I'm sure you have worked very long hours in your time at the saw shop awesome
Oh my goodness that looked to easy. I fought tooth and nail the last time I tackled one of these. I have a 460 rancher that wants to kick over but it will not. I just purchased a new carb and fixing to install it this morning. I only wish that you had the camera over the saw instead of that far away view. Do you have any other videos that I can get a better view...thanks

No crankshaft seal?
The seal is in the oiler housing
Hey Rich if you get time could you go over advancing the timing on chainsaws thanks awesome video
Full wrap
Why the extremely high idle? ✅
Gostava que alguém me mostra-se uma foto da mola do gatinho de bloqueia a corrente
I have an 090. These videos do the saws no justice. You need to see and hear those saws run in person to truly appreciate them. You know how people can listen to motorbikes run and immediately pick out the Suzuki Hayabusa? That’s the same with an 090.
I used to race go karts we used modified car starters and alcohol for fuel used to go maybe 90 mph arround a race track and ihave 2 940 mc chainsaws one has a sticker on it saying its a championship go kart engine from the factory
My family started logging with axe, crosscut and mules. We ran Mac's for a few years and then we to Pioneer for a long time. Our company has run Husqvarna for a long time. People just don't know about the work it took to get wood.
Hey Rich love the videos and stories you share take care hope to see some new videos soon
Good info thank you, love my 2100XP, and I custom blend my own bar oil. As for gas mix I use Klotz with techniplate, mostly for nostalgia. Takes me back to the 70s, dad had a Margay panther X with a fully built 101 Mac on it, thing had 2 Tillotson carbs 😂 😂 😂 also takes me back to my 2 stroke dirt bike days as a kid growing up in the 70's and 80's
I have a 440..where can I get the right coil? Called dealers..all said unavailable only thing I can find is the aftermarket
Unlike todays saws with verticle cylinders. Those had horizontal cylinders
Bad ass saw
Can someone tell me what is the purpose of pulling the starter rope out a little when shutting the saw down? Thanks...
Would you happen to have a link to order a rebuild kit for the 041?? Mine won’t start.. cleaned the carb and has good spark so had a friend check compression and it’s low..
So what should I do with a saw that was submerged but not running. I pulled the exhaust got about a pint of water from it. But the piston is high enough to block most the water ingress. The intake side looks like water may have gotten under the piston. I've tried to dump and q tip what I can. Should I break the whole cylinder apart? Or should I be alright to put it back together. And hope to evap the rest of the water?
I have had one of these 22 years now great little saw, I have used several chains and wore out a bar. I have changed the carburetor out and that is the only thing I have done. These saws ,in my opinion are great buys and great tools.
Resurrecting one now, trying to find a decent set of rubber isolators, getting a aftermarket ignition module from germany, I was lucky it was parts complete when I picked it up, fired off on the old ignition but lost all power after about 3 cuts, let it cool down and pop it off, same deal, checked the carb again and it was clean and clear, pop it off, power dies after 3 cuts, I don’t have the ignition tester but I could definitely see deterioration on the ignition housing, wire integrity was gone too, one day at a time, respecting the fundamentals
Just fired mine off today for the first time in a while, plug was wet black from last fall, leaned the carb a little, running a 36” bar, 404 skip tooth square ground chisel, sinks through dead ash effortlessly and smells beautiful
THANK YOU!!! Exactly what I needed.
Glad it helped!
I'm having a problem with one of those saws...the pawl is not engaging, what can I do?
HI from over the pond i have a k760 it starts great cuts great for the first few seconds the seems to sort of bog down the blade stops and start ssort of juddering and not turning, any ideas what will cause this thanks
I was able to finally repair the throttle lock/operator presence lever on my 390XP. After watching this video and various other videos (two more I believe) and reading the official Husqvarna workshop manual, I gave it a try. The problem I was having was connecting the spring to the trigger, I was overthinking the darn (@#$%Q) thing. The spring portion that goes to the trigger has a hooked end, and I thought it had to hook into/onto something. In the end all I had to do was place the hooked end of the spring on top of the trigger rail, and didn't have to hook it into anything (see video at 2:04, the trigger moves as WestCoastMuscleSaws inserts the end of the spring into the hand grip). I found this out by mistake as I was giving up and it worked! If indeed the hooked end needs to go into a trigger recess, then my spring went into it automatically as I rotated the spring 90 degrees to the left, guided the return spring underneath the lip and the under-side of the hand grip (using official workshop wording) and onto the trigger. On the successful try, I had the lever installed in under 30 seconds. Now I have to repair my broken throttle lock on my 372XP, which doesn't have a window in the hand grip. There is no way I could have repaired this without the window
I have 2 049 2 man saws great saws

HEY Rich
Hi Eric!
Leatherface's chainsaw from the 2000 films.
I owned an 076 Super with a Kwikcut(for cutting concrete) air cleaner.Lazy old saw.Used it just for ripping split posts, and loved it.Little brother raced me wih my 064 and did 3 to my 2. Might have been more even if the 76 also had a 3/8 chain and a taller sprocket.Australian red IRON BARK is a tough timber, 3/8 chain would stretch out before it wore out.(That was 35 years ago,but enjoyed it all being self employed).
I’ve been looking for a 372xpw top end oem or atleast a piston for mine so I can fix it but no dice. Might to wiseco for 200 bucks a piston
De cuantas pulgadas es la barra
