Flying to Seattle and then Wenatchee to drive to Chelan from Minneapolis airport. As a birthday present from my daughters and son in laws.Was there 25vyrs. ago when building the chip plant in Moses lake.I'm pumped and 77 yrs. old now .Renting a home with a heated pool.Arrive in August of 2024.

Unspoiled beauty? Wrong..... People are coming here tearing down scenic views and replacing it with houses not lived in even half of the year. Trash litters the lake now, the water is no longer a clear blue green, invasive species are overrunning the lake thanks to neglegent boaters and everyone thinks they own it ALL. I've lived here my whole life. It destroys me to see this beautiful place get destroyed by greedy people who want to escape to somewhere beautiful only to change it by tearing it down. RIP Lake Chelan. I wish I could have captured its true beauty before it was destroyed, but I was much too young to own a camera and phones weren't even a thing yet. I miss how beautiful, safe and peaceful it once was. The only way to find this unspoiled beauty is to explore the mountains. Even then, they are now setting their sights on those too. They want to destroy the historic elephant purely out of short term profit and greed. It is a gorgeous mountain we affectionately admire, but if they have their way it too will soon be gone. It will all be gone. When does it end? Until there is nothing left and we have yet another Seattle? They come here to seek a change only to want to change this place into where they have come from. 💔 And they don't see that. Or worse, don't care.

My wife and I are from Manson grew up here our whole life, in 2010 we moved to Wyoming lived there for 8 years we watched Cales videos of our area( chelan and manson) got so home sick we sold our house and came back, sure wish we could have met him in person what a beautiful person, still watch his videos😢

Great thanks I am going there for the first time in June and the wineries look great. I love the views too. I am not from the US so just one question 🙋♀️ is it ok to drink one glass of wine and drive. Obviously I wouldn’t have more than one, but don’t want to get arrested. Here in the UK one small glass is fine, so want to check that is the same there.

I am a Mansonite. I am living away from home but my family have been in Manson for over 100 years. Both parents families from Manson. My grandparents, aunts and uncles , myself, and my children have all graduated from Manson High and have our pictures hanging in the hallways.

Brought back memories. My parents took me to Chelan every year because my dad liked to watch the hydroplane races. We would sleep in a tent under cherry trees and the smell was unbelievable. In the morning the ground was covered in pink petals. At night there was always a big bonfire and all the kids would roast marshmallows.
