    hi, love these and think we could be friends in actual life. for a few years, I would go out into nature to feel with its vulnerability. Have you ever heard of somatic therapy, its sort of a wave in therapy that connects this idea that the body holds trauma. Some aspects are breathing techniques, tapping on concrete/solid structures to reconnect with current moment whilst body-mind can way dissasociate- flicker flight fight catastrophy thoughts. Your videos and your takes seem adjacent to such ideas. I suggest digging directly into somatic therapy. Internet hug and wishing you light!!!

    Yup. Mud. Kids love mud. Supporting parents to understand and be ready for muddy kids when they get home, this is a massive win. Supporting children to have appropriate gear so that they don't get too cold. Fun to hear you are in the Pacific Northwest, us too! Maybe we could collaborate. We offer Live Action Role Play programs for ages 8 and up :)

    I just wanted to share that there is true rest found in Jesus Christ, He is the only way truth and life and also the one that created nature and the things in it so we can enjoy it. He also made us. He loves you and in Him there is salvation and rest found🙏 John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life ❤ Jesus said call upon Me and i will answer you God bless!

    So happy to see you back to share whatever is in your heart, mind, or soul!! 🤎 The mind can be very tricky and needs to be consistently reminded to not run to the extremes of dark or states of dreaminess for long. Talking about myself. It's a great thing you know how to ground yourself. Praying for steady alignment of heart, mind, and soul - for you & I 😊

    Wow...I mean wow...thank you for this load of positive energy!! I am an ECE and I started my own childcare six years ago and proud to say that for the first time we had a graduation celebration this year. My philosophy in regards of what I believe about children hasn't change, but what I have slowly changed is the environment for my kids. My program is play based inspired by Reggio, Waldorf and Montessori approach. But what you just said about kids spending time in the outdoor makes much more sense to what I have learned by observing them while outdoor. Thank you for this and for the devotion and passion to the children. I am your fan now and definitely following!! --gaby

    hi i’m thinking of getting into this line of work, do you think being a preschool teacher is worth it? ( in terms of pay) what requirements do you need for this job? how long did it take you to get them? how did you search for an outdoor school teaching job? would you say that it is better or worse then working in a classroom?

    Hey, I just saw your post here. I know you wrote it a year ago, but thought I would offer a thought. Anyone who loves outdoors would always prefer an outdoor experience, and yet, some folks prefer the financial security of being a teacher. So, I recommend working with your outdoor education department of the school system, and develop more ways to play outdoors and offer outdoor education. We would be happy to chat more with you about this.

    Marina, thank you for sharing your words. It's interesting how when you shine your light and you do what feels good to you how others see it too. Children need us to be present, to see them, and to hear them deeply. I needed that as a child and I think that is one reason I am the educator I am today.

    It has been a journey to come to terms with my decision to grow into who I am and how I want to shine my light. Shadowing by far was the biggest learning opportunity I gifted myself. It helped me to see who I wanted to be and how I could do that. I am sending you some light as you follow your heart and as it leads you on your new path. Change is hard, but there is so much growth from it when we choose ourselves.

    Do you have advice on what to do when children are fighting over something and you didn’t see who had a toy/object first? Also what is your opinion on sharing when it comes to a child’s toy from home?

  • @roottoblossom9627
    @roottoblossom96273 жыл бұрын

    Hi Adriana, great questions! In my classroom children will sometimes say "I had a toy first." Their idea of who had it first might be that one child was using it and put it down and moved on. Then they saw another child using it and remember "Hey I was using that!" So here is one way I would help support children in solving this: - Support: ask if they need help solving their problem, if it's a yes I will sit there with them and ask each child to share what is happening. - Hold the Toy: I'll ask if I can hold the toy, to create a neutralize it. - Repeat: I would repeat what I hear "It sounds like G you said you had it first, and B you said you had it first. Huh, it sounds like you both think you had this toy first." - Honor Feelings: whatever they may be. - Support and Transition: "I didn't see what happened, so let's talk about how we are going to work this out." - Problem Solve: Wait for them to share their thoughts on how they can turn take/use the toy together. Repeat what they say, and if they can't come up with a conclusion say "it's hard to reach an agreement sometimes, would you like a solution?" I do want to acknowledge that this is one way of supporting this conflict. When it comes to a child's toy from home, it looks a little different. This toy belongs to the child and they can set expectations for their own toy. Depending on the class, I have had only show and share times that they can bring out their toy to share with the class, or during certain times in our day. Other times it's not an issue so we follow these guidelines: - I ask the child to share expectations they have about their toy with other kids. Many times they share how they can move the toy and how they can't move it. - I let the child know that others may want to play with it and ask if that's ok? If they say no, then I might ask "can other kids watch you play with it?" oftentimes that is a yes. - During group times their toy goes into their cubby or backpack - If a child really wants to play with another child's toy, I'll say "You would really like a turn with C's toy. You can say 'C can I have a turn with your toy?'" I hope this was helpful, if you need more clarification let me know!
