Seems to be working fine with that configuration. Can’t use downshift with a quick shifter since it’s not ride by wire. I’m going to install a Pingle electric shifter soon, and that has down shift capability!

Owned 2 Hayabusas one tuned, and just bought a 2023 leftover new for $9500. The ZX14 is far more comfortable and pulls just as hard as my tuned busa did. Wonderful bike

ZX14R is already torquey AF, but mostly the changes I felt where in the throttle response. If you’re thinking about flashing, consider changing the air filter 1st. I was amazed at the noticeable difference! The bike can breathe, and delivers power down low.

You still use that phone mount setup? I'd highly suggest a quad lock mount, only bad part is that you need the case/a piece you put on the back of your own phone case.

I have a legit config now👍🏼 Not a fan of quad lock because of the proprietary mount. Now I have a GPR stabilizer in the center, GPS on the left, phone mount on the right! I put my GoPro 360 on a pole in the back for a chase cam🤙🏼

It can be a pain to access the engine for a spark plug change. The Hayabusa wins in this category for sure! It’s just the way the frame is on top of the engine 🤷🏽

Slip ons are fine for street riding, and are just plug and play. If you go full exhaust, it will more install time, plus you have to get your bike tuned. So figure another couple hundred on top of the full exhaust cost. Lastly, if I were looking for a full exhaust option, I’d go with Brock’s hands down.

You know it! I 1st rode my friends Ninja (in the US!) and was immediately hooked. Before this, I had a Honda VFR1200 that was a great bike, but didn’t compare at all to the Kawasaki!

I own a 2013 ZX-14R with a Guhl flash. Don Guhl no longer does ECU flashing, so Chris Moore is as good as anyone in the game now. Schnitz Racing also does a good flash I hear. My bike also has a -1 ft. sprocket and Akrapovic exhaust. It runs very strong and I don't want anything faster. Ride safe!

Yup, I peeped all the usual suspects, and Chris really checked all the boxes. I think the decel fuel cut is the most useful tweak, cus I feel 100% confident in corners. Throttle is smooth as silk! I agree, anything faster is overkill on the streets. Ride safe🤙🏼

A hell of a bike, I miss mine, but don't regret buying my H2, I just couldn't justify having both. The 14 is one of the best near light-speed all-rounders there has ever been. Sad that they are no longer made.

I still have my 21 zx14R, I had an 08 zx14 and a 16 zx14R. I absolutely love these bikes. The only reason I got rid of my other bikes was to make room for the 21 H2 Carbon, 18 H2 sx se, 21 zx10r, 21 zx14R. The 08 zx10r, 08 zx14 , 06 650r , and 16 zx14R se had to go . My garage wouldn’t fit them plus my wife’s 21 Can-Am Ryker . My 08 had cams , full exhaust, air filter, tune , pc . My 16 zx14R only had slip ons , my 21 full bolt ons , with a tune . It’s a monster.

Guhls flash + tune (classic as he doesn’t flash anymore), Power Commander V, Brock’s Alienhead 2 exhaust, stretched 8”, dropped 2”, strapped, ZG double bubble windscreen, Cortech tail bag. Guhl was definitely the holy grail of ECU flashes! I’m fairly stock atm, Yoshimura carbon fiber slip ons, tail eliminator, stock shield. I may go for a Moore Mafia flash at some point. I did just install the Healtech QS tho. Really does give you an edge 🤫. Still working out the kinks adding external audio to the 360 vids..

*Edit I had this shot going to a battery bank in my jacket! This was shot with a GoPro Hero 4 Black. I took out the battery, and have a charging cable going to a USB plug connected to the bike battery. For audio, I used a lavalier mic running into my helmet next to the speaker so it records everything I hear!

Can’t go wrong with a liter bike. I like sport-touring, and the ZX14R fits that role nicely! I think I’d go numb after 5 hours on a sport bike 🤣 Maybe try to find a good used Busa or Ninja and add to the stable?

That bike is beautiful and owning a ZX14R is one of my dreams. Why are you putting that magnet all over your paint bro? After that magnet snags some micro metal particles over time it will destroy your paint get rid of that and properly mount your phone. JMHO

@@7537532753 Every rider I mentioned it to has been baffled at the amount of power I was going to purchase as a beginner… I’m 6’4” 225lbs and wanted a sport bike so I feel my options were limited to something big. I’m relieved at how smooth this bike rides and how easy it is to control even in low gears.

I got a 2021 last year and a 2020 superduke R, downsizing to 1 bike for the time being and I actually kept this bike, lowering the pegs a bit, raising the handlebars a tad, already have a yoshi full exhaust + lithium battery, which made the bike much more agile, with a Power Commander 5, it pulls, might get an ecu flash, but I wish I went with the Brocks Full Exhaust. Getting a quick shifter installed soon, 2021 had “dim” lights so I purchased the LEDS including the auxiliary light bulbs crazy good rideability, cruises very well high or low speed. Enjoy A nice Ohlins Suspension if they make them for the zx14, would be icing on the cake.

@@MitigateStress Good choices! I just installed the Healtech QS, and not looking back! I’m a fan of stock until something annoys me to change it out. Tires makes a big difference, currently rocking the Michelin Road 5. I like the handle bars lower so I can tuck down at speed;)

@@MitigateStress Good choices! I just installed the Healtech QS, and not looking back! I’m a fan of stock until something annoys me to change it out. Tires makes a big difference, currently rocking the Michelin Road 5. I like the handle bars lower so I can tuck down at speed;)
