  All Europeans should in essence drive on the left side.. It all goes back to horse jousting for british, (right hand being domonant, therefore charging on the left of eachother) and americans used the left hand drive because when it was being created, they would often ride several horses at once, eg 6 in two collums, the person riding back left, (right hand to whip the horse lacking)

  Actually 34% of the world drive on the left it was the romans who introduced it to europe but in later history this was changed by napoleon in every country he invaded because driving on the left was a trait of the dreaded aristocrats.austria changed to the right side when hitler invaded in 1938.spain and portugal changed over about the same time but sweden did not change over until 1967 and then because of safety concerns with nearby norway and the absence of borders(norway drove on the right)

  Yes. And let's have a mention of some other countries where they drive on the left: The rest of Britain (Scotland, Wales, Ireland), Australia and New Zealand, India, Japan, and many other places.
