You sound like me all beautiful old cars are girls. I have a 1939 Ford Tudor . It is just as it was built by Ford back in 1939. 1 original color repaint. And yes still has the 221ci flathead V8, and 6 Volt system. And she is named Olive. Your Chrysler New Yorker is beautiful, and the best color ever Green.

My first car was a one-owner 1946 Dodge--the same color--the Dodge color was windward green--had it for 24 years--was used in 2 scenes of "The Godfather"--but wasn't the Imperial bigger than the New Yorker

Great looking car! Thanks for sharing, I'm a second owner of a 1972 TR6 w/OD that's been heavily modified but still has original motor and transmission. I've owned it for at least 1/2 its life. I don't recall ever seeing a TR6 with air conditioning that worked before! Congrats to you! My car has been dead reliable over the decades, they are great little cars!

The idea was absolute comfort for two passengers. The occasional seats were probably never used.

I bet it rides like shit with those extremely low profile tires. The air suspension on that car does not handle slow speed bumps and potholes very well, especially when you run those rubber band tires. You'll enjoy the ride much more with something like a Pirelli PZero Rosso and a smaller wheel, 20" as the largest.

Turtle back ?? Never heard of this … I know that Buick had those German 2 and 4 barrel carbs . Those big Buicks could do 18 & 19 miles per gallon . This is when gas use to be .20 cents a gal … Bad ol’ Republican Eisenhower was President . Man he was evil , had the Country with wall to wall Industry .. Creating all those evil jobs for Americans . Those jobs are now 80% gone to other Wonderful Countries .

Beautiful truck. 1953 was the last year of the flathead v8 in North America and the first year for the OHV 226 six cylinder.
If only it was an automatic. First year for that.
