  So, I created a floating horizontal box/element using shift click and drag. Then drop. After that added the 2 parameter boxes for start and end date in dashboard. Check the video. I think I have mentioned that a bit while doing

  Hello, how can i create calculated field showing dates that are equal to another dates? Like for examples we have agreement date, write-off date, and application date, so I want to show those date that are all in those fields in one (date format for all dates is YYYYMM) thank you.

  Thank you for this video! It honestly irritates me that doing this in Tableau is so difficult. The reality is that most of the professional world is more comfortable with Excel, so it would be nice if Tableau had some simple functionalities to mimic Excel, while still having the benefits of Tableau such as reporting automation. In this case I was trying to show the percent delta b/w two figures, anything less than 0 is red, anything greater than 0 is green. Sounds so simple, but took A LOT of playing around with the color card to finally get it.

  HI... I have a question. In filters (wildcard search) , we have to give certain constraint that the user needs to select a minimum of 3 to 4 chars/nums in the wildcard search. then only the related info needs to display in the dashboard. Issue:- if the user enters 1 char also then the data is displaying and there will be large info.... starts with and ends with will not work out here because there will be multiple id's which starts with different numbers.

  Take parameter for wildcard and write the condition using Len to find the length of the entered string and write the logic only if length of the string is more than 3

  Hey, thank for raising. Actually, I had made a mistake in speaking while shooting and ended up cutting it out of final video. The way you create a blank is by creating a 'Calculation="" '. That is how I created the blank.

  Thanks for sharing the informative video, but i have a question, how can we do the conditional formatting on seperate measure based on own condition instead of automatic color coding. For ex: i have to compare values is x>y then ‘red’ elseif x<y then ‘green’ else blue. It would be great if you can help here. Thanks

  That is a bit tricky to achieve. However, I have done that. Had to Color code green yellow or red based on tolerance value else white cell Color only of one column. Give me 3 days, will create and share with you. Need to sanitize client data and replicate for KZread ~ Gurpreet
