I personally think something's going to happen with Intel I'm not letting it go for some stupid reason. Something is up their sleeve they're actually growing nobody knows it just that it's taking time. .... Just that I think it's not going to be as drastic as Nvidia.

Not true at all... Companies are making record profits... Believe it or not, the market isn't as bad as some people have made it look... As far as my best guess for Nvidia this year at least another 40% maybe 50% increase by years end and considering the insane sales and the pre-sales all the way now pushing into 2026 I expect 2025 to be another stellar year with at least 150% if not 250% year over year.

another reason is for the company to give out shares to employees for incentive compensation. But it's hard to give say $3500 worth of stock if the shares trade at $1000. The company could give 3 shares, and then $500 is lost. But if it traded at 100 a share, they could easily give 35 shares and get that value almost exactly.

Hello Folks, While I appreciate this great analysis, I wish they would show an example of what this all means. Let me show what I think they are trying to say with a drawn out example. Today the SPX is starting the morning at 5277.51 This talk's analysis indicate that the VIX and the ODTE ATM IVs are very similar, meaning that we can use the VIX as today's Expected Move predictor. And... The VIX1D is very close to the Statistical (Theoretical) Expected Move. Therefore, put on your Watchlist the VIX and VIX1D. Today they show: VIX: 12.92 VIX1D:10.20 The VIX is 26.67% higher than the VIX1D What is Expected Move? It is the +/- 1 Standard Deviation move inside a Normal "Bell shaped" Distribution. It is the Statistical (Theoretical) +/- 1 standard deviation of today's Expected Move of the SPX, where 68% of the time, today's price (we're talking about 0 DTE trading) should finish within this range. In other words, over many, many occurances, the Expected Move of the SPX should have it's price close within that middle 68% portion of the Normal distribution. Deltas are an approximation of the probability of the SPX price ending at that strike price for the Call side or for the Put side by the end of today. We use the 16 delta Put & Call strikes as an approximation of the 68% of the expected move inside that middle portion of the bell curve: 100% - 16 delta for the put side - 16 delta for the call side = 68%. If you look at today's 16 delta strike price for the Calls, it should be 12.92/19 = 0.68%, then, you multiply that 0.0068 x 5277.51 (today's SPX price) = 35.89, meaning the 16 delta call strike should be around the 5277.51 + 35.89 = 5313.4 strike (let's round it to the 5315 strike). For the 16 delta strike for the Puts, it should be 5277.51 - 35.89 = 5241.62 strike (let's round it to the 5240 strike). Therefore, today's expected move, which means +/- 1 standard deviation (or 68% of the middle portion of the Bell Curve), is between these two strikes: Calls: 5315 Puts: 5240 But the talk is saying that the Theoretical Expected move is closely aligned to the VIX1D. Today it says 10.20. 10.20/19 = 0.54%. So it's 0.0054 x 5277.51 = +/- 28.50 The Statistical (Theoretical) 16 delta strikes should be: Calls: 5277.51 + 28.50 = 5306 (let's use the 5305 strike) Puts: 5277.51 - 28.50 = 5249 (let's use the 5250 strike) This means that statistically (theoretically) we should Expect that the SPX can make its close today between 5305 and 5250, and this should be the case 68% of the time (68% of all occurances). But the market is saying that today, the SPX's Expected move (68% probability) should close today between 5315 and 5240. Today's market is saying this expected SPX close is about 10 points (two strikes) wider on both the Call and Put side than the Theoretical Expected Move. A couple ways you can look at these differences: You can say that if you still want to stick with the idea of using the Statistical "68% of the time" the SPX will end today within the Put and Call strikes, you would go and use the Expected Move derived from the VIX1D. This means that for today, use the Call Strike at 5305 and for the Put Strile at 5250. These are the Theoretical 16 delta strikes for the Call and Put. If you do this, then you will be bringing in more premium, because the Put premium ( @5250) is $3.00 and the Call premium (@ 5305) is $3.80. Versus today's Expected 0 DTE (or VIX) Expected move's strikes, which claim the same 16 delta strikes would be: Put Premium (@ 5240) $1.90 and Call Premium (@ 5315) $1.65. The other way to look at this is that if you do want to stay with the VIX or 0 DTE IV, and you still want to stay at the strikes that supposedly give you that 68% probability (according to day's market expectations, NOT the Theoretical expectations), you need to look at the options chain's deltas as if you are sliding 10 points further on each side. Look at the Put and the Call deltas. Let's say that on the Put side, you go from the 16 delta to 11 delta (by going 10 points down), and on the Call side, you go from a 16 delta to 10 delta (by going 10 points further up). Then your theoretical expected move would really be 100% - 11 delta - 10 delta = 79%. Your using the market's expected move's strikes for the Puts and Calls would mean that theoretically, SPX should close within these two strikes 79% of the time, not 68% of the time. You may consider this a buffer (edge) for today's strike placement if you use the stated 0 DTE (or VIX) vs the VIX 1D.
