Hello everyone! My name is Ken and this channel is about anything Game Development related!
I am currently working on game called Adventure of Tuck, which is made in Unity! The art for this game is made in Aseprite.
I've been using Unity since ~2016, not as much at the start, but more and more recently where I try to do a bit of gamedev every single day! Recently I've been practicing pixel art more and more as well.

Hey ! Congratulation for your game :) It gives a great blueprint on how to create a fairly decent platformer! Did you do all your assets by hand?
how did you do the sunlight effect at 7:22?
This guy uploaded this great video then he left and stopped uploading. 😭
Well this is lovely. Great job!
The witch is actually Kumatora
how do you animate the character I have them as an image and not animated
Can you add accessories on animated character for example rigged one? meaning When animation is being played characters components transform and rotation do not change, is it possible to take animation component's animated transform position and rotation and use that exact position to animate attachments overlay on a character's head such as glasses?
I NEED a variable jump height tutorial, I tried many times
Holy fuck 100 reviews with 225k views on this videos platformers are so dead you poor bastard. This sounds mean but its not supposed to be if anything its a testament to how you can clearly make something good and still have the genre tank your numbers
Nice job bro
Big ups! And thx for the tips
I tried it on scratch with JS, that was lame T-T
Level design is by far the hardest part of making a game
Man how u did the effect since 7:21 - that make the behind of the yellow fly with a halo , light effect?
bro started out with 3 of my favorite games, I don't even need to watch to know he has good inspiration
Did you use a media library like SFML or a game engine? Love the work 😊
Thanks for the video. I love metroidvanias. I picked up your game as it looks fun to play and may help give me inspiration. I totally agree with you player control is the most important. Metroid Dread just plays so smooth. If I can get my characters movement close to that it would be amazing.
I can't play Hollow Knight specifically because of the jumping problem at the edge of platforms.
wow what a piece of art!
I love you
bought the game gonna check it out today!
Lol that music joke 😂
Wow i didnt knew post processing /polishing does so much to game graphics. 🤯♥️
Man! I love that you decided to do the player controller first, because if its done then you can work under all those controls and wont break the game like many ❤
Amazing! This gives me so much motivation to redo my floaty I used to make in Unity :D Great visuals too!
Definitely an excellent platformer! The art and the animations are top notch quality, and I love the art style and vibes of the game. Fantastic work with the level design too!
maybe it's too short? Any plan to make a longer platformer?
6:50 bro you manually drew those pixel art? Like colored the shadows on the tree trunk pixel by pixel? Or is there a software to help automate such things?
I'm no proffesionalist but i think he probabbly just used a bigger brush instead of painting pixel by pixel(if you're talking about the background tree trunk)
sorry I misspoke. I meant did he paint by hand? Or use a software? Because that amount of work to do by hand is nuts@@zoxv8733
your fans lol wtf someone is on a high horse
This is so interesting. If you want help with music lmk!
Looks great! I'm in the beginning phase of developing a similar game right now, and I'm really struggling to get the movement to feel right. It's frustrating because I know I can't really do any level design until I have the movement down. I think I need to step back and spend some more time studying good movement.
That was so fabulous and amazing. WELL FREAKING DONE!
Can someone confirm or deny, you have to manually remake every piece of animation for this, right?
not for the accessory but if you have different character sprites then yeah
Maybe a mirror that will reflect the projectiles?
Hi, I need some advice. I filmed my son with the camera and I want to convert his movements into a 16-bit character for a classic platform game. How can I download his animations? What software is needed and how is it used? Thanks in advance ps: to make you understand, a bit like the rotoscopin for the first Prince of Persia, but using modern software to reduce times. advice? Daniele
Just bought your game instantly after watching this video.
Bro I just loved the way you understand that platformer games need "perfect" controls for making it fun
game looks aweosme
Wow man this game looks really good!!
I love the paper effect and the book frame! I'd almost like to have the book frame be permanent. Very clever idea to draw in the various bonus attacks!
So...Celeste?
I just looked up and bought your game, and I have to say that given that you did all of the art yourself, along with level design, mechanics, and so forth, and apparently have something completed, you can probably charge at minimum three times what you do. ADDENDUM: OK, having played it part way through, I think you should *at least* add an extra dollar on there!
Maybe I didn't learn anything about gamedev that I didn't know already but somehow this video was e x t r e m e l y motivating. Take my $1 as a thank you gift.
This looks incredible, good stuff and congrats
nice to see your evolution!
I really want this type of video talking about this specific topic but it's so rare this was the only video i could find about it.
Mabye you can solve this problem by making more amazing games and showcasing them on youtube (i would prefer a 2d platformer game other than any other game)
Great Video! Make tuck could draw a blanket fortress where he can hide and is immune to damage. Enemys still attack it, so that it will break after some time.
Well done! I'll play this on stream sometime
YES
Where are you from? Your accent is like, exactly like the sunfire elves in The Dragon Prince- somehow so pleasant to listen to!
