    Hello! I'm writing a blog that will be a free curriculum for anyone to use. I love your videos and would really love to link to the math videos. It will hopefully bring you lots of views. I know you have sharing enabled already, but I wanted to ask your permission before I linked to them. I'm going to spend this year creating a bunch of free printable resources for families to use to go with it, and I hope to publish the blog in about a year. Are you alright with that?

    Thank you so much for doing the Saxon math videos. My kids really enjoy them! There are no videos on Saxon Math 1 and 2 except for yours. It has been a huge help to our homeschooling family of 7. I noticed that the lessons only go up to Lesson 110 in Math 2. Do you think you might finish the lessons to 132? Again, thank you so much! The Lord has helped me make math time easier by playing your videos 😊

    Hello! My students absolutely love you! I do too. I can get my students that struggle with attention to sit and interact with your videos. Thank you so much for your great presentation skills. I pause the videos to give my slower processing students time to respond, and it works great. Could you send me a list of the words you present on the yellow cards or direct me to a site where they are listed? I would like to incorporate them into learning centers. It is so complicated now; each student needs their own set of manipulatives and etc. Luckily, I am teaching in a school district with in-person teaching 4 days a week and one day virtual. You are a national treasure! Someday I hope to visit Canada! Thanks again.

    That is awesome! Could you help me a bit with some ideas? The next logical step in the series would be long vowels (2 vowel rules), but I found that I was moving too slowly for my personal students. While the review was valuable for them at the beginning of the year, they can now read fluently without sounding out each letter. They became disinterested when I was sounding out words. It is a challenge to teach the lessons without the feedback from a group of students. Should I continue sounding out each phoneme? Or should I only demonstrate that with the new concept we are learning? (CVCe words) I'd love some input from you.

  • @jodyfrench4204
    @jodyfrench42043 жыл бұрын

    @@Mrs.Lawson Yes, long vowels makes sense to me as the next logical step, along with the vowel rules. Also, continuing to introduce more sight words. I can see how students that have learned to blend and read can become disinterested. As far as sounding out each phoneme maybe not doing it for the short vowel words but doing it for the long sounds for awhile. Honestly I don't think it hurts to sound the words out because it does reinforce the skill. I would like to share how I'm using your videos so you can see what a service you are doing for teachers who have been teaching 100% remotely for the past 10 months (with no end in sight for the near future). I present your videos on a daily basis online to my entire class, and I can see all of my students and their level of participation while the lesson is being presented. If I present a lesson like yours to my class I'm so busy presenting I can't keep wandering students attention on me or really see their involvement. I love that the lessons are only 10 minutes and that they are interactive. Even my good readers are interacting with your activities and I don't think it hurts any of them to review skills, especially since it is a short lesson. When I found your Reading Review videos I was elated because I'm really struggling to help students who are not learning all the skills that I'm teaching. Your videos provide a way to give a short intervention each day, and my students love participating and reading along. It is my plan to continue to use your videos as intervention even when we return to the classroom. I want you to know that I have shared your sight with numerous colleagues of mine and they love them as much as I do! Thanks for asking for my input and I hope the info helps.
