The station in Arizona replied with a signal report, then the RR73 and 73 to verify reception of the signal report and conclusion of the contact. FT8 is the mode of transmission. It is a digital mode similar to the old telephone modems you might use on your computer in the early days of internet dialup connections. The protocol is brief so it only lasts a few moments to exchange basic contact information.

Everything looks so different now that you removed all those trees at the right. I remember driving in and parking and there was nothing but trees and now you've built that lovely outdoor kitchen area. Loved seeing how much you've added. The trees, the garden looks amazing and especially the ducks. We have had 8 ducks for about 2 years now and we love them. We went with your original insight and decided to use the doll house/fort by building a run onto it and closing off the windows with hardware wire. We have 2 Jumbo Pekins, 1 Rouen, 2 Indian Runners, 1 Welsh Harlequin, 1 Khaki Campbell, and 1 White Layer. I also loved seeing your beautiful geese. I am still trying to decide if I want to get a guard goose to better watch over the ducks. So glad Kris is out and about. Such a devastating illness for sure. I don't remember the exact time frame but I always thought it was odd that both Kris and I had something similar around the same time frame. I was very sick for months and literally went to the ER 4X only to be constantly sent away. In fact, once they decided I needed my gallbladder out so after doing that I was still no better off. Finally, after the gallbladder doctor saw I was no better he sent me to a Neurologist who IMMEDIATELY by looking at XRays realized that I had some kind of infection hidden behind my spine.
