I don’t understand how to go anticlockwise. I’m not left handed either but I just can’t spin well that way.

Really great to see your channel Mirai! Was an honor to share the ice with you in LA all those years when you were training there, and I still pass on your legend to the younger generation as a source of inspiration and what true dedication means! Truly a skater worthy of every bit of adoration she receives!

I love you so much. You were so awesome when you were on CBB. The part where you said 'See nothing, say nothing, hear nothing. Celebrity Big Brother. Cancel Culture', was hilarious. The 'Big Brother Benny' KZread Channel used it as an end-clip sound-byte on the videos for a while. Love your fur babies. Hope you are well beautiful Mirai!! 💗💗💗🌌🌌🌌

Hello, thank you very much for this great explanation. I I'm currently working on my one-foot spin and have a question: when I stand on the rocker, do I put extra weight on one edge or do I stand in the centre 'between the edges'? Unfortunately I haven't found any information on this yet, maybe you can help me. Thanks again and best regards Feli

Hi, I am kinda new here... 3 days ago I finally reconciled with my figure skates (long story short, I ride inline skates every day since I was 4, and I ride hockey skates maybe 2-3 times per year because the closest ice rink is 100km. away. So... last year I found really beautiful figure skates and bought them. That year I skated with them only for maybe 15 minutes because I was falling all the time, not knowing what to do with the toe pick and since then, I haven't even thought of skating in them. But... 3 days ago, a small ice rink opened in my town and, having no other option, I took my figure skates on ice. And I was shocked how good that felt, I had no problems with toe pick, and it felt like I always knew how to figure skate). After that, I found you on KZread and after watching a few of your videos I did my first waltz jump, toe loop and 1 leg spin. I also tried watching other KZread creators, but I think I really only understand you. It's maybe because you talk slowly (because I grew up in a region that is known for that). This way, I want to thank you for reconciling me with figure skating and I hope I will become a part of this beautiful community one day.

Wow! I love skating because how well it clears my mind. The ice is like a blank canvas to me waiting for me to draw on it with my blades. I plan to return to skating in January after being forced to withdraw due to the pandemic 3 years ago and other various life events. I have new figure skates that fit me properly now.

Flutzing is the genesis for the downfall of Figure Skating being taken seriously as an objective and impartial sport in the eyes of the educated viewer. The Flutz can lay claim to the rash of inferior skaters - predominantly Russia- who have managed to normalize sloppy and lazy technique to introduce 'quad' jumps into their programs with a price tag of poor jump mechanics and proper/clean back outside edge takeoff - an obvious error - and being scored by an corrupt - not inept - judging panel (which is another cancer in the skating world inandofitself) This in-turn rewards skaters for poor form and provides no motivation for skaters to learn and certainly not perform technically correct jumps. I would have a difficult time paying a coach who herself cannot produce proper technique. You cannot teach what you do not know.

You’re jumps are just so beautiful! I’m in my 40’s now and just got a new pair of skates to get back out there. (Haven’t skated since I was 17ish). The new blade has an 8” rocker, last one was 7”. I used to be stellar with my spins on the 7”. I can’t seem to find the sweet spot on these 8”. What would you recommend? Could you possibly do a video of the difference the blades make? Would be super appreciated❤

Mirai, it’s good to know that every skater has their “dreaded” jump. When I was an adult skater mine was loop. For some reason that take off terrified me.
