Hi I am having some trouble with the dv_read function, when I run it I get this error "Error in value[[3L]](cond) : could not read the [3PLAYERS-H] section of the input file". it seems that there is an issue reading the home teams roster. Do you know how to fix this??

I’m Japanese beach volleyball analyst Is the toss entered automatically? Do you change the setting from Attack to Toss when nothing is entered after the number?

Hey Tyler - this is fascinating stuff, thanks for sharing. In your experience, how are college coaches today using data? Are they using it enough or just scratching the surface?

From my experience with beach, we are only scratching the surface. Without tracking data involved there is only so far someone can go. For indoor you will need to ask an indoor analyst :)

@@tylerwiddison I figured. You did stats for USAV Beach right? Did you collect data and review insights for all BNT athletes and their opponents? Did US athletes get data on other US athletes?

Tyler what do you do with these scouting reports? Do you coach someone right now? You create this stuff for you? Just curious. I think this stuff is super interesting. Do you manage to find time to deep dive the data that you create and draw any conclusions? I noticed you talking about this missed serving and the side out % and trying to determine that impact on the game.

After diving into more of your videos I somewhat answered the question myself. Definitely think it’s pretty amazing how you work through some of this. I wish we could generate more popularity around this sport so you can get compensated for these in depth sports analytical tools you generate and use.

@@allvolley As far as advanced analytics, as a player you have to ask yourself. I have no coach on the sideline, how much information can I retain while I'm playing to use to my advantage? I have found video montages are extremely useful for the visual feedback players can retain as they prepare and see their opponent. But that doesn't take away from the fascinating story that analytics can tell with beach. The weather, opponents personalities, preparation of offense and defense to score against your specific opponent is a rabbit hole waiting for someone to find answers.

You're writing on the right represents whatever is happening during the point? Never seen this code. Also, at the beggining, you're inputing the players numbers like 211 on the front and 211 on the back because the software is made for indoor and needs this sort of adaptation? Great video.

I feel like Sorum have become a better sideout attacker than Mol, most teams have been serving Sorum for years and that's what made him a sideout machine, his court vision is unmatchable.

Question. How do you judge how far off the net someone is from this angle? - this is a second video when you make this point. - I can easily see that on a 'sideways' camera angle, but on this camera angle ...
