Hi! My name is Mills and I moved from New York to the Dominican Republic in July 2017 (after changing my mind a million times)
I started this channel to document my experiences living abroad as a female expat overseas, and want to share everyday life, Dominican tourist locations, the ins and outs of moving to another country, teaching abroad, working remotely, and more! I spent one year in Jarabacoa, and another in Santiago de los Caballeros. My Dominican husband, Christopher and I have just moved to Phoenix, Arizona after completing our K-1 visa journey, and are looking forward to this new adventure, and sharing it with you along the way!
I would love for you to subscribe to follow my journey!

Good point about the students are in classes based on age and not their level of English, which is pathetic. Haven;t they heard of placement tests?
God bless you from Dominican Republic
SPLOW!
I agree w/all those people on those videos, you can speak english or go back where you came from, it's 2024, english is the only language that matters. All the other languages will be replaced entirely w/english soon enough.
I love jarabacoa, thank you for the video and supporting my country. God bless you.
Mine looks almost identical to his for the sub Saharan African breakdown of the dna results! It’s so cool to learn about this! ❤
Thank you. Very informative video, I would like to retire in Santiago. Do you actually live in Santiago?

Plenty of Americans are bilingual. But opportunities to learn much more are generally non-existent - unless you're a university student, or unless you have abundant easy access to many people who speak the languages you want to learn and practice. Generally speaking, Americans have no real need to be bilingual. Learning a new language is a monumental task, and it's seriously far too much for most people. So this is why people often take the stupid KZread courses on foreign languages which might give you a great head start, but are surely NOT the equivalent of learning language in an academic setting. BOTH practical experience, AND a bit of academics are necessary if you want to learn a language in a more or less complete fashion. I speak with authority because I've experienced both, in addition to having actually been a foreign language teacher in a classroom setting.
Do you do real real estate there?
Hi, I love working from home. I have experience.
So studio should be less than this ?
i think Lizette Paulettes sister knows something just by de fact when de nanny was looking for Paulette Lizette can be heard saying"esta en la cama"- "shes in her bed" there is no way Paulette goes missing on de 22nd n nobody can find her even de nanny who was fixing de bed ,her mom who was doing interview n de friend dat slept on dat bed couldnt find Paulette n shes found 9 days later dead 🤔🙄
When he said 18% Native American I was like, in your dreams!!! The highest Taino blood is in Puerto Rico. No one in the Caribbean is more Taino than us.
okay
@@MillsRepDom You ain’t got no Native American blood either. You don’t even have any attachment to the land you call home. 😇
cry about it
@@isisroset2787 cry about what? He’s only 7% Taino.
@@MillsRepDom I know you’re supporting him. In the Latin American community dominicans are known to be allergic to work. 🤣🤣
Can you pay with usa cash?

He was so heartless he never loved her
What about Punta Cana?
My fiance is in the DR. We are currently waiting for the DS-160 form to be filled out by our attorney. From all the research I have done, it seems as if everything rides on the 160 getting done, and submitted online, and then getting the confirmation number BEFORE she can set up the 2 VAC appointments and the medical exam. Any advice? Suggestions?
Beautiful home, how do I get more information about this home
Thank you for this video. I am interested in this AirBNB for my August trip.
The other full-service state was Oregon until 2023; now, all stations are required to offer full-serve at 50% of their pumps--at no additional price.
Ubicación exacta por favor
I’m originally from Santiago and my wife is not even Dominican but last year when we went to Jarabacoa, Punta Cana and Miches… we went exclusively to find a property to buy to Airbnb (we actually live here in Miami) and also for my retirement and six years (I’m planning to retire at 55 years of age) my wife and I fell in love with Jarabacoa and bought a preconstruction that should be ready in early 2025. Three bedroom three bathroom condo by La Confluencia. My wife absolutely fell in love with that city and I did as well simply because of the climate. Eventually we also gonna buy something in Las Terrenas but that’s gonna be 5 to 7 years from now. Jarabacoa is growing A lot in the eco-tourism and that just means a lot of greens
