  Folks, don't be scared of ferruled rods. They been around for ever. Overseas the ferrule is 2-3 inches. Fly rods have been that way for 100 years. Nowadays most decent 2-3-4 piece rods are pretty safe. But, there's always that one time !

  temu is pretty cool, just be aware, their stuff is TOXIC, alot of the stuff you see there wont be sold by american stores because of the stuff in it. lead, mercury, tons and tons of voc's. thats the smell you spoke of....

  I have over 100 rods, I only striper fish for big trophy size fish. I have $500 loomis and st croix and custom lamiglas, and in my opinion. These tiger elite and tiger lite are better than any rod made at any price. I've caught 50 lb stripers on mine. Just great rods in every way. Power, sensitive, lightweight, castibility and great looking colors.

  do you think i have a bad unit? it doesn't skip- however after running the unit for an extended period of time the transmission stops - i have the atmos hdmi cable and ruining with the r6mk ii on a gimble - after i keep it off for a bit, it will run again- but the fan is indeed working, is it an overheat issue?
