It captures Walt’s fall. All that was left of Ozymandias’s kingdom was that pedestal in the desert. The rest turned to dust. That pedestal might as well have been one barrel of cash, and the ruined kingdom his family, his business, and his best friend.

The poem is a fairly simple one, with a central message. The irony of the poem lies in the contrast between Ozymandias' grandiose claims and the reality of his empire's complete collapse. The phrase "Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!" is particularly ironic because there is nothing left to see but the "boundless and bare" sands. The poem conveys a powerful message about the impermanence of human achievements and the inevitable passage of time. It serves as a cautionary tale about the folly of excessive pride and hubris. Ozymandias is believed to be a reference to the Greek name for the Egyptian pharaoh Ramesses II, known for his monumental building projects. The poem serves as a commentary on the transitory nature of even the mightiest empires and rulers. Essentially, the short poem explores themes of human vanity, the fleeting nature of power and legacy, and the inexorable march of time. It warns against the arrogance of believing that one's accomplishments will endure forever, as ultimately, everything is subject to decay and oblivion. A simple, yet beautiful poem.

Years go by and Breaking Bad's Ozymandias is still my favorite episode of any series, being the best I've seen so far, and I've seen many other great series like The Sopranos, Better Call Saul, The Wire, Mad Men, Six Feet Under, Game of Thrones, Bojack Horseman and many others that also have brilliant chapters but none that made me feel the same sensation that Ozymandias caused me.
