  Then u filter the data according to the position you Created. Basically what am saying is that you should ensure that the data set is filtered on the basis of the rank /position of the students

  Sure you can. Very suitable just some modifications. You know in small business u may not bother about all the allowances. So the basic salary and just bonus if it exist will be added to be the Gross Salary. In some cases self the basic salary will just be the Gross salary. For a small business you get.
