Hey! Thanks! I actually did the same here as the simulation makes them grow flaw, so I made the lines grow from the bottom of a displaced UV sphere. I used a geometry proximity node with the sphere as the target and a "position" node as the source position, which feeds the new positions into a set position node, which acts a little bit like a shrinkwrap modifier.

It's a mix between differential growth and reaction diffusion algorithms (with my very humble knowledge in mathematics and what is possible in geometry nodes)

@@alicelescouarnec2829 I was preparing a tutorial/breakdown and the channel Entagma released a tutorial for almost exactly what I was doing, but presented in a way better way that I would have done, so I highly recommend watching their tutorial on differential line growth in Blender
