Very informative! Thank you for making this! ❤
You're so welcome! 😀
Deck chair fabric is sold by the meter so for my outdoor table its a perfect runner for a 4 meter long table. No joins or bumps! Great stripes too.
I love that suggestion! Thanks for mentioning it. 👍
Theme tables are the best. What a Beautiful tablecloth to set the mood. 😊
I totally agree! Thanks so much! 😀
Has anyone tried it? Does it really help?
It does really work. Others have commented that it worked for them, too.
Wonderful finds♥️
Glad you appreciate them, too. 😀
I’m so glad you brought this topic up. I happen to love them, grew up with them and own a set from the 1930s which is perfect for bridge parties and ladies lunches. Your enthusiasm for them is precious… great job and thank you♥️
Awwww! Thank you!!!! I do love them, and just used them at a function. Many of my friends had never seen before and really enjoyed using them. 😀
It’s a beautiful tablescape. However, the tablecloth is a little too busy. You have “beautiful china, crystal and silverware; to me the diamond of the table is your grandmother’s candelabras”. A simple pristine pressed white linen table cloth would have framed your lovely pieces better.
Nice day Nicole ...when i want to match something with a tablescape i'm planning usually i take a picture with my cell and i go to the store to compare ...not bad at all 😉.I liked all the details of this montage : the flowers ...the tableware ...your blouse ...the music and of corse the tablecloth ...
Good day to you ... Thank you for the wonderful compliments!! I appreciate it. 😀
beautiful
Thank you! 😊
I love using them. I need to expand my collection from just the plain chargers in different colors. I like your scallop chargers.
Wonderful to hear that others love using chargers, too! 🙂
❤❤❤
Thank you!
This is a most elegant tablescape, thank you for this wonderful festive and simply beautiful setting.
Thank you so much! ❤ It's wonderful to hear that you liked it!!
If your concerned about bleeding, Biz works well but you have to put it full strength on the stain and work it in. Fels Naptha works wonders, use a soft tooth brush (I've also used my thumb nail) to work it into the stain. Then soak all night and give a good rinse. There has only been once or twice that I've had to retreat.
Wonderful input ~ thank you! I haven't used Fels Naptha. Gonna need to try it!
I have a vintage tablecloth that has definite yellowing. There is no other colors on it, just all cream color. What do you think would work best? Thank you
Because of the yellowing, I'm assuming it hasn't been used or laundered in years. I would suggest first just soaking it in very hot water for 24 hours. Then I'd drain the water and refill it with new very hot water and a little blue dawn dish soap. Let soak for another 24-48 hours. If most of the yellowing hasn't disappeared I'd then move to trying an OxyClean hot water bath. ~ Hope that helps. (It's always hard to provide advice without seeing the cloth.)
@@AdorntheTable Thank you so much! I did not even think about posting a picture here. Because I’m a little bit of a computer dinosaur. I’m not sure even how to do that. Lol I cannot use dawn Blue as I am very allergic to it. I have to use fragrance free soaps. I will try the hot water and maybe just jump right to the oxyclean?
@@robbiewood3956 Unfortunately I'm not familiar with fragrance free soaps, but you could substitute the dish soap you use in place of Dawn, or you could jump right to oxyclean if the hot water bath doesn't work. If the hot water bath appears to release some of the yellow, you could also do a 2nd hot water bath and let your cloth sit in it for another 24-48 hours. I've had lots of luck with plain baths, as the hot water helps hydrate the cloth and release any dirt or grime. Good luck!
Thank you!!!
Whadda you think about using charger plates in your table settings? Lemme know, I'd love to hear.
Thank you so much for this video!
You're welcome!
Wow! Thank you sooo much. We're having an open house and buffet for the volunteers and board of a local museum next month. I absolutely love the idea of creating different levels for the dishes as well as small plates for the serving utensils. It will be done!
Wonderful! So glad to hear you found it helpful. I'm sure your open house will be fantastic and enjoyed by all!!
fun ideas, thanks for sharing!
You're welcome. Glad you like them!
Thank you so much, it worked!!!
Glad it helped!
Very cute👍🏻🚙🇺🇸
Thanks!! 👍😀
✨✨
Thank you 😀
Oh you have given me an idea of using a red tablecloth, a white tablecloth and a blue tablecloth on one table as in a Bombpop popsicle design . 😊
OMG! I love it!! That would make a great BombPop design!
Good day Nicole ...you make great decorations even with cheap materials
Good day to you too! That's SO nice to hear ~ thank you!!
What are the challenges you face when setting up a buffet table? 🤔 I'd love to know.
The original formulation for pewter was an alloy containing a lot of lead, and hence old pewter should never be used for food. Armetale is a modern (1960s) formulation using aluminum instead of lead, so it isn't poisonous. It isn't so much "fake" pewter as "non-poisonous" pewter. When I was a kid and in love with all things medieval and fantasy I treasured my Armetale goblet. My sister and brother also had them -- bought with our own allowances. Such fun.
Thank you for the clarification and the information regarding the formulation of Armetale. I appreciate it! 👍 You're so right ~ It's totally perfect for medieval and fantasy tableware! 😀
Love your tablecloth, napkins, blue water glass & centerpiece idea! I did not use flowers in mine either, but I did struggle with what I had on hand to use for a centerpiece- I ended using a hurricane lantern with candlesticks on either side of it.
Thanks so much! 😊 I think using hurricane lanterns with candlesticks was a fabulous idea!! I bet your table looked wonderful! ✨😀
Omg! I absolutely LOVE this video. :) Thank you so much, it is extremely helpful and I will pass this information on. I truly never thought about these things before and everything you have said makes sense. I am a new subscriber and right now I've already listened to this video about five times as we are in the process of planning my daughter's bridal shower. ❤
You're SO welcome! I'm thrilled to hear you found it helpful. Thank you for letting me know. I appreciate it. I bet your daughter's bridal shower will be wonderful!! 😀
Thank you. Decorating with ribbons was a brilliant idea 💐
You’re welcome. 😊 Glad you liked it!
As I was preparing to host a tea party for the ladies in my family, I put out a request for decor and other items thru my neighborhood "Buy Nothing" group on FB. Someone generously gifted me a 16 piece, iridescent snack set. I'd never seen nor heard of these but incidentally found another yellow set at a thrift store. One thing led to another and here i am seeing your video. I am so excited to incorporate these for fun meals and snacks with my family as well as larger gatherings in lieu of paper/plastic. Thank you for the great info and ideas!!
What a wonderful gift from your "Buy Nothing" group. I LOVE that you're gonna use them! I bet your tea party will be fabulous!! 😀
Missed your pole, but great ideas! Love them!
Thank you! 😊
Totally adorable! My friend tells me I’m the only person she knows who still uses tablecloths! What! Really?! I love a beautiful table setting❤️💙
Aww ~ thank you! Gad, I hope a lot more people besides you and me use tablecloths. I LOVE them!! 😊
Beautiful table setting! I have mine set for Memorial Day in blue/white tablecloth and dishes with a fresh flower patriotic arrangement in center. It will be an easy switch up for Fathers Day. Love the shirt napkins-very clever.
I love a table setting that's easy to transform into a new one. Glad you love the shirt napkins!
❤❤❤
Thank you! 😀
Fun ideas! I’ve never really thought about a Father’s Day table…until now! Thank you! 👔
You are so welcome! So nice to hear that you like them.
Perfect colors for the end of Spring Father's day table. I missed your poll, I'm thinking about going with a western theme Father's day table using browns and cream colors. With having a Bull and calf figures in the centerpiece.
Browns and creams are perfect for a western theme. Love the idea for a Father's Day table! Sounds like it'll be a fun tablescape.
Great ideas!
Thank you!
Thx so much! Will soak in a plastic basin? I was wondering about soaking in washer… but the detergent might be strong?
I soak in a separate plastic container, often for many days, because that leaves my washing machine free for regular laundry. I have a front loading machine that doesn't allow for soaking. If you have a top loading machine, it's harder to soak items with the center piece in the way. Hope that answers your question. 😀
I am 77 and I received a snack set when I married my first husband. Then I inherited my mother's snack trays when she passed. I have to admit that I have never used either set, but now that I want to get away from single use products (paper plates), I may be digging them out to use. I expect that there will be some education needed bucause my guests will likely be unfimiliar with them.
That is awesome! Yes, pull them out and use them. I bet your friends will get a kick out of using them too!
I am loving your tablescapes! Great ideas! And seeing your sweet Lab makes me miss our Jerry. 💝 Thank you for your wonderful videos!
Thank you so much! Yes, our lab mix is super sweet and loves to be in the room with me ~ and making cameo appearances. 😀
Awesome- this fixed my table
Glad it helped!
So fun! 🇺🇸 I love it!
Thanks so much!
Thank you
You're welcome!
What happens if the utensils fall out as you grab one ...why put it in a jar instead of a cutlery box so it lies flat rather than standing up that way no risk of touching other utensils and nothing falls out since its all lying flat. And foil trays look a bit tacky so I would use chaffing dishes and platters and bowls.napkins need to also go on a plate or napkin holder so it looks nicer and condiments need to be in a bowl or something not the bottles as the packaging makes it look ugly and ruins the overall table aesthetics
Thank you for your questions and comments. I appreciate it. This video is focused on what people do wrong and what not to do. Yes, much of what you mentioned would make the buffet MUCH more attractive, and I totally agree with. Maybe I'll make a companion video on how to make a buffet table attractive with simple changes. 😀
i left a wet towel on my dresser i’m freaking out cs it turned white
Oh no!! Did this process work for you?
I would have said put a tea bag and a spoon 🥄 what a shock I would never would have thought of a eating drinking smoking tray so strange❤😊
A tea bag and spoon makes total sense (now), but back then smoking while eating wasn't uncommon. It sounds SO crazy to do now! 😀
To much work to keep clean
When it's something I love and really enjoy using, I don't mind handwashing. But I don't enjoy doing it every day. 😀
I have my parents large collection, it was all manufactured just down the road here in Pennsylvania. I love it & use it regularly. Hand washing is a pleasure, it's that good.❤
@@ChrisandraDavis That's wonderful! I bet using it brings back lots of great memories too. 😀
I remember these from baby and wedding showers..
They'd be perfect for baby and wedding showers today, too!
Good day Nicole ... I really liked your patriotic decoration ....the colors of my country are the same but our celebration is in september ...i smiled when you said that you used scarves instead tablecloths ...me too 😊
So nice to hear that using scarves instead of tablecloths made you smile ~ and that you too use them. I love that!!!
