  Thanks so much for your videos - really insightful. I notice that you suggest to move those initial armies asap to DEW / Gondor without mustering any elites prior to moving. The armies are largely regular with maybe 1 elite each - will the time you save moving those initial armies be lost by taking longer to siege a stronghold due to having fewer elites ?

  Hi, pretty sad I just found your content - brilliant videos and explanations - and immediately fond out you're retiring... Quick addition to this one: + As far as we understand the rules, the dead men can choose to move into an attacked region after the shadow army was forced to retreat WITHOUT sacrificing another faction unit. This significantly increases their reach and led me and my players to come to the conclusion that WOME combined with LOME makes the FP too strong defensively, making a swift military victory almost impossible for SP, main reason being dead men and ents. As you say: they're an army of Balrogs each... + You can bring them into play with Strider! Here's our house rule: dead men and ents alway only roll 2 attack dice instead of 3. Best regards

  It's my understanding that OUR is widely criticized for overstating/misrepresenting its performance and capabilities, and the founder/former CEO resigned after between sued for a variety of sexual misconduct. Trafficking in its many forms is a truly terrible thing, but maybe another organization is where you should invest your efforts.

  Hey Bob, nice game. Feels a bit anticlimatic to see the last match going so one-sided like this. Wonder where did I've seen this before. Nevertheless great series. Fishing for C cards might' been a good strat, but felt like going full rush was in fact the better option; A single bad roll in mordor for the fpp, and you could be the one in the driver seat. Gondor was for the taking, only DA left and Edoras was already done for as well.

  Hi great game. Always cool to see the LOME edition played. One question: under what circumstances is it allowed to use more than one companion to sooke up corruption damage? I can't find it anywhere in the rules that you can use more than one companion at a time. Best regards

  It’s the guide ability of merry and pippin so it’s only allowed for those two companions when they become the guide

  Is the hobbits guide ability elaborated somewhere?.I mean it doesn't say you can chuck both hobbits for the price of one on the card itself...

  On the card itself, what it says is that their guide ability allows them to be taken as a casualty, but still separate from the fellowship onto the map, right? It's because it's their guide ability to be taken as a casualty that allows you to do a chain reaction. For all the other companions, taking them as a casualty is done as a part of a step in the hunt damage resolution, using their level to reduce damage. But then after this step, additionally if there is a new guide for the fellowship, you can use their guide ability, so if the guide just died and now a hobbit is the guide, you may use their guide ability. This also applies to gollum, as soon as he becomes guide his guide abilities apply to the current hunt tile being resolved.

  Awesome. Thank you for the elaboration. So basically, if I understand correctly, if Gimli is guide and I pull a 3 corruption tile, I can sacrifice Gimli to reduce 2 corruption, then declare merry or pippin as guide and imidietely use their guide ability to further reduce the corruption by 1, correct?

  Would've been a reasonable choice for sure, reasons for keeping it would include that if I played foul thing from the deep, and drew a 1, then he could block it with horn of gondor instead of taking a random, and sometimes people like to get a bit of corruption up (usually up to 4) to make morgul wound hurt less if it shows up, and to give room for athelas to heal for full value (up to 3) if you get the chance to play it.

  Thanks very much! Yeah I'm glad I figured out WOME now while I still had lots of time for the game, trying to figure it all out in small chunks would be more difficult. There's a good chance if I do post a video every now and then that it will be a WOME one, since that's definitely my favourite way to play this game :)

  I think in situations where aragorn might get trapped early game, it might be better to retreat out of stronghold region rather than let him die shadow still has to deal with a relatively large fp army even if they have the stronghold and it can defend pelargir

  Yeah, that would be a reasonable choice, it does feel bad giving up a stronghold, but it also feels bad dooming Aragorn to death turn 1, and having Aragorn with a decent army running around is absolutely a problem yeah.

  I would also say, as a new player, I was scared to bring in the witch king because he activated all the free peoples. In the end, this doesn't matter a whole low, especially if Gondor is already at war.
