    Great topic to cover, ThingWub! When you find a plateau in your hero performance, maybe shaking up the talents and trying out new builds is the most straightforward way to get better at them. Unfortunately, older heroes suffer from a lack of talent variety (Kael'Thas for example). They're often shoehorned into one particular build to leverage their strengths as much as possible. Newer hero reworks and updates feature a great deal of talent variety that can let you flex into different compositions (e.g. Lunara and Chromie). Bronze Talons is a perfect example of a sleeper talent. On the surface, not much, but then you come to use it and find that her AA is excellent - fast projectile, long range, smooth animation, decent damage. Then the echoes that you drop with your Q will also mimic an AA for 40% damage - which also benefits from your Bronze Talons. Suddenly, you're not 'just' increasing the damage by 50%. It can scale almost to an additional 100%!

    This is actually kinda my favorite build, because I feel it's more consistent and gets the most value after Chromie's last rework. I miss "Bye Bye!"...

    Man i love your vids, and i know youre an amazing player but i feel you missed on this one. Maybe its cause its (to me) one of the hardest heroes to play. You missed the rotation on her with 2 debuffs from mana and w to take it out. The right way is never to take 3 debuffs and that way youll never run out of mana, with that said, gg man! Those saves were epic :)

    I consider Colossus Smash to bring Varian into the melee assassin category as opposed to bruiser, because of the HP reduction it incurs. IMO, the true bruiser build involves picking Twin Blades of Fury, instead. That being said, Colossus Smash can be really terrifying in QM, if there's no counters to it.

    I'd say you probably should pick Scarlet Aegis and W talents 13 & 16 if you just begin learning Whitemane. But when you'll realize what she can do, you can do whatewher you want and show more potential with E and Divine Reckoning

  • @Bandayd

    One small addition re: Whitemane many people overlook is: if you're Whitemane, and you're out of mana (or waiting on cooldowns), but you have Zeal on an ally, AUTO-ATTACK enemy heroes, because you heal people with Zeal for 100% of the damage that Whitemane does (this includes AA's). This can make or break some team-fights, and can grant Whitemane a little bit of the sustain that she lacks for sure! Also I love that you added the try mode at the beginning just to communicate the details of how her healing works, great idea Wub! ❤

    I think Deckard is kind of misplaced in your chart. You placed him as the sole utility based healer, but i think hes more of a burst healer than a utility one. Probably in the same tier as tyrande and Uther. I would switch him with Tyrande.

    Nice, you can help me retain my 100% Whitemane Winrate (3 wins in aram and that's it). I assume since I rarely see her in competitive play that she gets more trouble from the enemy being coordinated than help from her team. Circus Whitemane skin is wack! Minor suggestions, you should add those timestamp section things at the bottom to your vids to help people skip sections if they want to! Great stuff Wub, you don't have to apologize for being yourself lol.

    Something that I rarely hear people talk about is that Whitemane only has one ability that cost mana, and that is her Q, Desperate Plea. everything else is on cooldown. When you get mana back from her ult, Divine Reckoning, you can/should spam Q. Divine Reckoning kind of makes everything else is kind of a waste of time, while it is giving you mana.

    Good Vid. I like the emphasis on doubling down on the burst-heal-or-nothing strategy. I play her much more sustained with the option to burst (aa at 4, cleanse at 7, W talents at 13+16). This one is far far better if you're in a game that will have some poke wars and you need to be able to keep up for longer objective fights as the AA power can get up to 150+/second on each ally with a Zeal. Note that this version of WM is only possible if your tank is protecting you well, and it's the far far far better version to use if you're against enemy dive like Genji/Zera/Kerrigan/Tracer/Greymane. Turning their damage off to 50% prevents so much of what they try to accomplish when they dive that it just shuts down almost their whole game plan. Edit - I somehow paused the last 1 minute of the vid apparently. Damage Reduction (especially on two enemies) is a form of damage mitigation the same way Armor is - which helps your burst healing. Having your friends take 50% less damage is the same as healing huge numbers. Damage Mitigation is just a different form of the tools healers use vs just straight up healing #s.

    i love hots because of the healers, all are very good, responsive and fun to play. You are not just an idle healer like a base. Kharazim is a dash healer with negating fatal wound ulti (super satisfying), Ana long range heal is fun, sleep and grenade is very situational but very useful for both focusing on target and teamfight. I never played whitemane cuz I do agree she is the most complex healer in the game, tho ThingWub showcasing of her skill was phenomenal. Good job!

    As the resident healer main, I'm looking forward to seeing this series, also this is why I'm quiet a lot of the time in the Duo to GM series and stuff. - Purge Edit: Subjugation/Shared Punishment are great talents for bruiser style comps (Think ETC/Thrall as frontlines), if you have allies that are being run down by melee heroes, that's probably where you want that talent combo.

    The inquisition talents can be very nasty against those dive enemies. Illidans and tracers do not like having their dps and armor crippled. 10 srmor aint much but combined with a slow and damage nerf those two enemies aint going to be getting much done with whitemane protecting her team.

    I'm super glad you decided to share this video, not only will I probably pick "Moonlit Harmony" in QM, I'll DEFINITELY pick it in ARAM as that seems like a no-brainer!, I can't believe I never noticed that talent! Plus it's always bugged me how little Malfurion's W would cause his Q to heal, so this looks very cool to try! ❤

  • @phlopsi3586

    I'm really bad at playing Malfurion. I think it's the constant Q and W spam, that doesn't make me happy. He's too spammy. If they ever rebalance Malfurion, I wish they would just increase the cooldown on the Q, make it last longer proportionally and give it an additional charge. That would make him more attractive to me. Less clicks on the Q while keeping the W as is.

  • @Cai247
    @Cai2479 күн бұрын

    Bruh I pick Moonlit Harmony every game as Malf, I didn't know that it was hidden knowledge lmao. The absolute NUMBERS you can get by getting even just 3 regrowths out per fight is absurd. - Purge Edit: Lifebloom at 20 is also a great pickup, especially in bruiser/tank comps. Malf struggles with clutch saving allies because of the time it takes to Q then W targets. Lifebloom gives you an extra buffer to be able to do that.
