  Another way is to link clientName column to a table called clientName, then lookup to client table coientnameid and manually drag to the target linked column.

  Hi, Do you happen to know how to create a search engine which will allow me to search between 3 tables [free version of airtable here]? I have 3 tables: Amazon, Ebay, and Website. Each table contains customer information such as First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email, etc. I would like to implement a search engine in the fourth table, allowing easy customer search based on criteria like first name or phone number, eliminating the need to manually navigate through each table to find a specific customer.

  Thank you so much for this video Ben. You refer to previous videos and I would love to got through this process as you do from start to finish. Is there a playlist for this whole sequence of videos for this project? Specifically what I am looking for is a step by step guide on how to set up one part of my business in airtable and onboarding is a fantastic place to begin. I am a quick study and once I go through one complete set up, I am usually good to go. But everything I am finding is disjointed and I'm having a hard time putting it all together. Do you sell a course or resource that would help me with that? Thanks again!

  There is one disadvantage of this solution: What if some of the values in the field that you are looking up changes. Once the checkbox is ckeched you want get the updated value in your Toggl table

  I believe, you can set the "Temp VLookup Run" to be checked by default so you do not have to 'check' every single time

  how do you get airtable to return a static value from a formula and store it in a cell in airtable? i want to keep the value from an estimate without having it get modified later if prices change in the product table. Thank you.

  Not helpful. You said a new form was "created", but it seems you connected the table to an already-existing form. Also, i'm not seeing related data displayed in the table from two different forms.

  Thanks for the formula, it worked for me. I have another question. I need to register all the employees vacations. all is set up but how i will connect the dates they take off to the total amount of their remaining days? As i have to add different dates for each person and the dates goes to different rows but i need the total to be shown in only one specific cell. To make it more clear, i have start and end date, so i count the days off. but always they take different dates of days off during the year, how this can be shown as a remaining days total?Thank you!

  I'm just 10 minutes into the stream and my apologies if you all address this later, but I noticed that the sorting of linked records (using Batch Update) is not a numerical sort, but an A-Z sort. In other words, it treats the linked records as text values, so it would be important to format dates (in the linked records) in the ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD), if the primary field begins with a date. Using the Friendly date format would sort February before January, and using the US format would sort 12/1 before 2/1 before it even gets to the year. Going to keep watching to see how the automations handle sorting by secondary fields. I know this was a live stream, but I hope there'll be a shorter video out soon with all the key discoveries from this video!
