  I always wondered why Ling Tong and Gan Ning argued in Dynasty Warriors. I went to research and found that historically Gan Ning killed Ling Tong's Father, Ling Cao, when Gan Ning was a subordinate of Huang Zu, the Administrator of Jiangxia Commandery. Huang Zu was being attacked by Sun Quan during that time. Also the 2 fought in Lu Meng's house during a banquet and Lu Meng had to step in to split them up.

  So dead characters from DW7 is showing up to still be alive in DW8. So one of the cutscene such as Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and Guan Yu is defending the village from Yellow Turbans in DW8 just like in DW7.

  Yeah, generally DOTs damage in this game is not a good choice as we have to execute the enemies as fast as possible to proc Julibation or Rage/Musou Springs.

  cyclone, slash, velocity, thunder, jubilation, thorns, flurry, explosive / induction, roar/triumph (both good), fear

  I just go with Cyclone, slash, frost/thunder, induction/explosive, jubilation and roar/velocity with almost all characters for 1st weapon. 2nd weapon something like musou and rage spam build with aggression, uplift, enlightenment, roar, triumph and jubilation OR just pure attack damage with Cyclone, slash, flurry, frenzy, velocity and jubilation/survival 😂 it's fun just to tweak here and there to see the result. There's a lot of combination but 2 elements that i don't like and never use is harmony and protection 😅

  5:03 “No need to follow the dreams of the dead.” I always liked that line. Really summarizes a lot of the reasons why the wars kept dragging on- fighting for the ideals of dead men. Strange how Liu Shan was known for being lazy and unambitious, yet he sees the current situation with clarity. Maybe he was wiser than he let on.
