I have been using 5.56 mags for my .300 blk out for 11 years and not one single problem ever! I think the mag companies just saw a way to get suckers to buy the exact same mag with a different caliber on it lol

Nothing is perfect. We all have our flaws. In my opinion, the bury in the mud test is a lotto winning event, something that could happen but one in 10,000,000 in the real world (if you had at a moment's notice to use a mud clogged weapon to defend yourself against murdering hoards.) Probably not going to happen. First off, you shouldn't get your dang gun muddy in the first place, 2nd, clean as thoroughly as possible before using it to defend your life.

Too many variables with this type of testing. Density between pineapples varies greatly, and put the 9mm up against that knot on the pine boards (where the .45 ACP stopped), and the .45 ACP in the softer outer part where the 9mm hit , and it would flip that outcome. In same ballistic gel, a 9mm can have slight better penetration in some cases, but that’s simply because it’s a much smaller bullet… but this by no means, should suggest it’s impact power it greater. The .45 ACP has far greater impact energy than a 9mm. But interesting non-scientific testing no the less. Thanks.

How does it run without it suppressed? I have a Prodigy, but I am hesitant to try supressing it. Ive had alot of work and upgrades done to it. It runs flawlessly thus far. Especially as finicky as 1911/2011's can be. They dont like to be dirty either. A can would change that in a hurry.

This is very informative for showcasing the construction I'll have to pick some of these up, but there is no chance the supers are under 120db.

It would be nice if you could keep the ammo more consistent (such as PMC XTAC for M193 55gr and M855 62gr), but I like that you used the same rifle for each. It would also be cool if you could test each ammo type with multiple barrel lengths and seeing if the difference in volocity between barrel length (14.5, 16, 18, 20) changes which ammo choice would be best. I'll keep my eye out for another test like this from you to see if you are able to improve. Good job, though, I enjoyed the video!

They both have about the same muzzle energy. When they come out with a new bullet investing the 9mm normally out penetrates. I love them both ibam 78 I can still shoot full size .45 without any problems I can still shoot my glock 36 in .45 acp but after about 25 rounds I begin to shake quite a bit. At least I have enough sense to realize my limitations. I still carry my 36 sometimes very concealable holds 7 rounds loaded. Sometimes I carry my fnx .45 it holds 16 rounds loaded. Like one man online said if I had an arrest warrant for the devil that's the gun he would carry. Big enough to take up shock of heavier bullet

i’ve noticed with my 45 pistol suppressor by AWC it’s quiet but with welders lube it’s even quieter. A little grease also makes it quiet but it will smoke after it gets hot.
