How did you get so much overdrive/distortion out of that od1x? Mine sounds nothing like that!
@@Ganbakodon I don’t know dude that’s how mine has always sounded? My pick ups maybe hotter 🤟🏼🧟🤟🏼
To say pickups don't sound different is absurd and just uninformed and inexperienced.
@@johnwalter6410 everything alters tone, the degree to which it does that’s important.
Excellent playing by the way
@@MarshallAmpMan I thank you sir
What's an A-Zed? - Yeah I'm critical but you provide an excellent review
@@MarshallAmpMan hahahhaa brits man lol
What??? Speaka da English not cockney!!
high quality video appreciate ya!
Thanks man, I do my best 🤟🏼🧟🤟🏼
Its a Great piece of equipment.specially for the Price.bought it last week for 199€
Mate it’s a complete rig or an amazing survival pack. Don’t know how we crammed it all in for the money 💰 but we did lol 🤟🏼🧟🤟🏼
Ibanez ought to thank you too. I have a Strat and an SG and that Ibanez sounds better than I expected. Livelier pickups.
Thanks man, means a lot to me for you guys to dig what Iam doing here 🤟🏼🧟🤟🏼
Is all the weight resting on that power supply? Or is there some clearance?
I’ve raised the feet but it was fine before as well, but just to be on the safe side 🤟🏼🧟🤘🏼
How I wish there's a trem on this
Sure there will a model in the range that will fit the bill? But this is a lovely axe man
@@PaulGlover I've been looking for the same humbucker configuration with trem on either s or q body. No luck so far. Yes nevertheless this is a lovely ace.
Ive got the base SE Marsden, but Amber Spirit of '59 pups installed, as a PRS US bridge and Glover locking tuners. Magnificent guitar that will never leave me.
I like the wrap around bridge. I don't play much past the 15th fret, 22 frets are good for me!
Hey! Do you still have this?
Yeah man one of my favourite amps ever!!!!!
@@PaulGlover So, if you cranked the clean channel up to full, does it stay clean? I'm guessing it would be F-king loud but would it hold it's clean? I appreciate you may never have done this 😄
@@Jetfire666 I have and no mate it does start to get a little hairy but at 20 watts this thing is fecking loud so you would maybe get away with it no having to be cranked?
I'm a year late to your party, but i have one on order in shipping status. Thats was a really good video. Thanks for the work..
Enjoy buddy and anytime fella, consider subscribing please man 🤟🏼🧟🤟🏼
Does it have internel speakers, or do you need to plug to a cab? It's on sale right now here in my country. Thanks for demoing this.
No you will need a cab, but dude this is the best sounding small amp in the world. It’s amazing 🤟🏼🧟🤟🏼
i got mine off Facebook for like 25$ maybe less.. it was a good deal i thought
Now that’s a deal!!!!!!
The Fenders a GC1
Wish Power supply manufacturers added AC support. I have a 12-15V AC pedal so really limited with what I can use. Nothing out there if I want to add a digital pedal to that AC pedal!
It’s a nightmare dude, so many needs and no all in one solution
I get the best sound out of this with gain setting high or all the way up and then roll back the guitars volume to get crunchy or dirty cleans!
It is always good to see you posting, Paul.
its a brilliant amp i gigged one for six years solid it has a great clean, lots of gain on the crunch channel, brilliant lead tone, the only downsides are the hard wired footswitch cable ( changed mine to a din plug and put bigger coloured leds in ) and the dreaded bias drift problem that kills them, i put the new upgraded board in mine its like a new amp now, easy to bias yourself and the fuses are panel mounted unlike the jvm, but since i discovered the boss katana i dont use it anymore
I do love mine, it just lives inside my Quad cortex now LOL
I've just found a Syn-1 with footswitch for $326 and an Engl Powerball Module for $265 on Reverb. I've got a Powerstage700 and several cabs and for less than $600 (including taxes and shipping) I'll have a $3000 amp designed by the same guy made in the USA. I've already found a Friedman BB-BE module for $225.00 and will be saving for a Bogner Ubershall module too.
It’s a secret power machine dude, all my tubes that aren’t Laney will be coming from synergy!!!! Well played by the way that’s a great deal 🤘🏼🧟🤘🏼
Show! Where to buy?
Iam not on the headrush store dude and don’t have the pedal anymore. So show is all I got, sorry man. 🤘🏼🧟🤘🏼
I've been looking for a original Artist, but I love the look and sound of this guitar. I still want original if tone is there. And as for this guitar I'd want to play a few to find the tone that suits my ear. They all aren't going to sound the same. Split coils I've never been a fan for,but with the correct pickups could be great if using for various songs and styles. I usually check out a guitar without an amp 1st. Then if I'm interested I'll take one of my own amps in to play it though. But I like the look of the white guitar, don't need the vine inlay but I do like the inlay around the body. I do own a double cut Gibson LP. A older guitar it sounds nice. I own a number of Ibanez guitars right around the JEM came out. I've got use to the fast neck, 24 jumbo frets with easy access to them. It feels strange when switching to Fenders, Gibsons or other guitars with thicker necks. But after playing them, I get reacquainted to the neck size. More for blues or older rock material not a shred guitar, but I'm not a shredder. Use to be, but grew out of it about the time everyone started going towards it. I'm more of a blues and a melodic guitarist now. I haven't bought a new Gibson and only a few from Nashville. It seems that I can get tones from both Start and Gibson from the Ibanez that I own. Probably my best sounding guitar is one I built from the Az air dried wood and custom wound pickups with a 12db booster in and use 1 3way toggle switch and 2 2way toggle switch for changing pickups. It gets all the tones I need. I like basswood bodies if it has resonance usually maple necks, but again that depends on the guitar. 1st time seeing these guys and they are hilarious while still demoing the guitar. Keep up the humor with the demos!🤟
Great video my friend you know your stuff .am in 👍can the dd7 do ping pong ?anyone know
Think so buddy, there is just mad way make it stereo?
Wow! What a great amp head. I've looked at everything from the Fender 65 Twin reverb amp to a harley benton 15w tube amp to the Joyo Bandamp and now this amp head. It is absolutely amazing! Love your playing. Great demo. The clean tone is what I'm looking for, but the other sounds are killer as well. Total beginning player.
Yeah mate this is the one. Affordable and ultimately playable. And also thank you for the kind words man 🤘🏼🧟🤟🏼
is the tuner stable??
Seems so dude. Think any Ibanez is gunna see you right. Enjoy man.
Love Rammstein but these are just a novelty money grab. Not a real big deal, I think Richard really does use them. But in the end if you have some EMG 81s you're good since I think most of their albums were made on that.
I agree and if I had 81s I wouldn't swop em but for a swop from the fusion edge I think they have a growl.
Ive been experimenting a bit with inexpensive preamps + pedalboard power amps - this one looks to be pretty versatile - So...a bit in, how's that honeymoon phase holding on? Still diggin' it?
Yeah man it's the one. Great tones in any application on any stage, dude it's a true game changer.
Got one on the way 🤘🎸💥
@christopherkennedy873 you'll love it man. Happy new gear day buddy.
@@PaulGlover yeah man - working on my "mega-rig" ( multiple amp set-up) and these pedalboard amps are makin' it HAPPEN! 🤘🎸💥
how about the noise?
Zero. It works great, I've used the boss psu and a one spot and it's brill
I found mine and then found this video. I used to do open mic nights and sit in jams running it direct into the board.
It's so good
Now I can't decide if I should buy this guitar or go watch The Golden Child.
Both man, no need to dicide. 🤘😆🤘
Poor gui, looks like old max for Ableton Frankly all these companies products sound the same to my ear I bought an axefx3 and wish I never did Guitar rig sounds just as good tracked and it’s free The fractal ran through spdif/toslink into Apollo and then into protools sounds no better than any other noise maker I use real amps live, use guitar rig and axefx3 simultaneously using radial big shot ABY box and still just over processed noise maker Mic up a old fender twin, Marshall 800, Mesa mark iv or whatever into a quality preamp or into an oxbox, torpedo captor x There are just so many options that all sound the same tracked but only real amps sound real live, because they are
Mate is an option, I live my Laney Amps but I also love plug ins this I feel is a gamechanger ti turn DAW only plug ins into standalone and have multiple at once. I think there is a place and space for all we have available to us.....not just a £3000 amp we can now get killer tone for £60 in the shape of a plug in. But mate you do you!!!!! That's the beauty of it.
Studio has 3 tubes 12AX7....head has 4 tubes )
Thanks man.
@@PaulGlover Should they give a different sound?
@Dezmond2inbox they do a little but the characteristics are very similar, if anything I prepare the sound of the studio at lower volumes.
Wow I like this guitar, the color is not my favorite but the versatility and the neck thru catch my attention. I'm between this and the Ibanez rg652 white, which one do you recommend?
The Ibanez RG652 is my favourite Ibanez of all time dude irs amazing.
Lol! I love this vid!
Good me too lol 🤘🧟🤘
Hey great videos, I also have revv g4 and tonex but couldn’t make them work together. should I use Revv as a preamp to tonex ? Or can you please give me an hint for how to use them one after another ?
So I use the Revv as a pre amp instead of the toneX for some tones. So one or the other not together, but iam sure a nice clean would make the Revv sing!!!!
@@PaulGlover thx for the help :)
@kaanbilgin8245 anytime chief!!!!
I dont find these radically diferrent souding from the JVM series . The JVM was the successor to these amps .
All Marshalls are Nasal . Its the Marshall sound . Anyone who thinks a true Marshall doesn't have a Nasal sound haa never heard a Plexi . Listen to Jimmy Page live in the Zep era. It doesnt get more nasal and honky than that .
But does it djent? Just kidding. Of course it does. Sounds awesome! I love your demos, Paul. I still love the Green Carrot Pedals Pumpkin Pi demo from all those years back! I showed that to two of my buddies for their first times this weekend. They were blown away by the sounds you got from that beast! And we loved how the joy of playing on it made it so fun to watch you on it. This demo here is good and simple. I like your professionalism and fun personality. You are a good watch. And you seem a great guy. Great guitar by the way. I had a RGAXION for a couple of weeks during the summer of 2020. But I couldn’t afford the guitar so I had to return it. What a shame that was. I like the RGA60AL just a little bit better it seems.
Dude your a diamond, really made my day that, thanks buddy 🤘🧟🤘
@@PaulGlover indeed a pleasure. Have a great day, of course! 😁
In fact every guitarist should own an HX Stomp as well as one of these.
Hi what is the preamp used for ? Is it for gain ?
No that's my amp, I go our to frfr or front of house 🤘🧟🤘
What's the best thing to run this into?
Any FRFR powered cab, as they do all of the pre amp, power amp and cabnet modelling. Laney FRFR cabs are the best in my opinion.
Hot Damn! BEST playthrough I've ever watched. Outstanding demonstration of clean and dirty on all switch settings. Thank You Very Much for this! Looking into getting this model so glad I found this. Already subscribed. Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Aw dude thank you, its nice to ve appreciated, enjoy you new axe 🤘🧟🤘
Can’t do acrobatics on it….look up Steve Howe with “Yes-awaken 1977 live”. Enjoy…..it’s on the narrower neck 360/12 too. kzread.info/dash/bejne/epWI1MyTct3be6g.htmlsi=HGz5D6qK5W9fzsbd
Can you do a Vivian Campbell rig from his Dio days?
Good shout man. Will have to donit for helix and Quad Cortex as I don't have head rush anymore
@@PaulGlover the settings can be replicated, right?
@matthck1 yeah I'd say, without too much tweaking.
Cool I have that pedal board I think, need to set it up as I'm fixing electrics to it, what do you use to fix your pedals to it? I can't get the plates and not sure where as they sell them in singles and bloody expensive and only use m3 tape any how lol
I use the plates dude. I have my IEM G4 system underneath using velcro though.
@PaulGlover where do you buy the plates I've only seen them from abroad and cannot find them in the UK otherwise cracking board
@davidmurray9193 iam an endorsed artist so I get them from Canada direct. I think most companies carry them but your right they are pricy but......I have to contest that its so much cleaner and easier if you have you pedals on this system. Velcro for me is either to weak or far far to strong. These QR plates are ace. Think thoman have them as well?
@@PaulGlover I'll check thomann thanks for that fingers crossed I'll have my board sorted this month lol
I really do not like the look of the se but this, the violet, and the ruby I would totally play. That tone is great and honestly as decent as something that costs wayyy more. Wish these were still around.
I know they are/where great guitars.
Main compartment' is it big enough to hold a small pedal board' 3 full size pedals' 5mini pedals?
Possibly? Depending on orientation of the board, I've fitted a Quad cortex in and a toneX (not at the same time)?
I have that exact same brick under a different brand. a lot of those bricks are the same but just different brands must be the same OEM that lekato moskey etc use. it has worked great for me so far. yes my only complaint too is no IEC but it was way cheaper so can't complain too much.
