    I am confused Sarah Beckett was red carded for a dangerous tackle yet when Abby Dow had her leg broken nothing happened. I am not sure if that was because it was friendly fire or none of the officials saw how it happened.

    Jess breach can't tackle for toffee, she should not play against a fired up France! Her half hearted tackles led to two french tries, she may look good when ball in hand streaking down the wing, but she might as well not be there in a one to one tackling situation. She tackles to high and seems to have an aversion to tackling opponents around the legs.

    What a wonderful performance, artistry and skill. I am a huge fan and actually really looking forward to watching so much more. This is how rugby should be played. I am so fed up of the over muscled and under skilled men's game. I was involved with rugby at a college in the mid to late 90's and there was a group of young ladies wishing to play, I helped form a team and they actually played a couple of games. I was always worried literally sick if any of the players got hurt. Please understand some of the male prejudices in the women's game are born of protectionism not ridicule - that was just how I felt as a man. Watching this game has eased my conscience around some of the injuries I saw the girls receive which I still feel today. My player of the match was Scarratt - she was sublime. Kildunne was magnificent.

    The "raw' half time stats are meaningless! If you are having to tackle more and run more metres for nothing, well I guess that mean you are losing! Metres made /try= something comparable. Tackles /metre made, = something comparable. Raw stats are useless, may as well use Jersey colour, White better than Blue, nonesense as an objective statement

    What the HELL are those commentator drinking? All they kept saying was that Scotland suffered because of the weather conditions ,,, I believe that BOTH TEAMS WERE PLAYING ON THE SAME PARK; SO THEREFORE THE WEATHER CONDITIONS APPLIED TO BOTH TEAMS! When England scored; those same commentators stated it is too easy for England, what an INSULT TO THE SCOTTISH DEFENCE. , Scotland kick the ball high into AIR; where the wind will blow it back at them and MOORE shouts out that the weather conditions are awful. England in BOTH halves of this match dealt with the weather conditions better than Scotland, they have better MANAGEMENT. The kicker Scotland brought on at half time should have been on from the start of the match, so she had the wind at her back and could kick for Goal (with so many penalties flying around). The first sending off was incorrect, there are TWO not one England player lifting the Scotland player off the ground and then lowered her to the ground, therefore if it is deemed a sending off offence then BOTH SHOULD HAVE BEEN SENT OFF and why then, in the Second half when a Scottish player lifted an England player in the same manor and dumped the English player to the ground, no penalty awarded, no review and therefore no sending off. Once again the commentator say nothing. England are the No.1 team in the world because they are well trained, act as a UNIT, the forward are superb, the backs are fantastic (DOW is a master) and have a management team that works with the players to get the best out of each other, It is not luck but hard work that only France and New Zealand can match. Do not knock England for being the best, praise them for the hard work they put in. Nobody knocks America's women's football team for being the No.1, nobody knocks Spain for having the best European women's football team, so why knock ENGLAND WOMENS RUGBY TEAM FOR BEING THE BEST?

    Meat in boots rugby, "pick and go" time after time.When will it dawn on the forwards that they cannot cross the line and allow the backs to play? I wonder why the Ferns have no worries playing these teams. Rugby is a running game, set up by the forwards. Forwards win the ball, Backs win the game!

    Help me on this one, please. The disallowed Bourdon Sansus try. If we accept that she did touch it and then her team mate charged it down, wasn't she still offside as she was in front when she tried to gather the ball? I have to admit that I'm rather confused . . .

  • @AndrewUnderwood-pl1ur
    @AndrewUnderwood-pl1ur2 ай бұрын

    If Bourdon Sansus touched it, she played it back (albeit unwittingly) to Annaëlle Deshayes , I think , who then would have knocked the ball on. If Bordon Sansus was in an offside position, it would not have mattered, as the try was the result of a knock-on and hence disallowed as well. If that is the case, the only difference would have been the sanction, being a scrum, not a penalty. (Not sure if this is correct but logically, it seems to explain things).

  • @robinholland1136
    @robinholland11362 ай бұрын

    @@AndrewUnderwood-pl1ur Thanks for that. That was my reasoning, too, but the commentators and the players seemed to be suggesting that had Bourdon Sansus touched it and it was then charged down, the try could have been awarded. I didn't see it that way. I might just pass the question on to Nigel Owens and see what he says. Because, as we all know, Nige is the 'man who knows'.

    Why do the commentators big up the Welsh when they are clearly struggling, claiming that the Welsh are defending well when they have missed the first tackle, yet again, and then failed to prevent the offload. It isn’t doing them any favours and they subsequently look foolish when the score goes stratospheric.

    That was a good game - for an England fan - but it would have been much, much closer if France hadn't made so many mistakes. France had so many good players who played really well - both Menagers, Escudero, tiny but tough Vernier, and the irrepressible Pauline Bourdon, but the whole team didn't match the same standard. Thanks for posting, although the video standard was not good: the resolution I got was 854x480@25fps, which meant that the players were just unidentifiable blobs when they weren't in a close-up shot. It's the kind of poor quality I've come to expect from KZread though.
