They are looking for any signs of structural problems or significant damages that would require repairs or anything that could lead to environmental issues. Also it’s not normal concrete, it is a special epoxy/resin based form of concrete that is much stronger, has a higher weight and wear resistance and is far more expensive than common concrete. That said, with the higher cost comes higher care for the investment. Second to that, everything needs a good cleaning on occasion even pits.
