Still getting chills watching that game 5 clip from 2022. I haaaated Bryce when he came up with the Nats. I absolutely wanted him to fail & argued in favor of Hamels throwing at him (a take, that I find cringe-y all these years later). But yea, he's completely won me over at this point. He replaced the Chase Utley sized hole in my baseball heart.

People hate him because he ain't on their team. I never disliked the guy in washington. But I sure love having him on the Phils.

I love funny. I like comedians. I consume comedy - standup and sketch comedy - of all kinds. Bob Uecker is said to be considered the funniest man in baseball. If he EVER did a standup routine for the general population, he would bomb miserably. Being funny in baseball - a sport defined by long, long periods of inaction - and then some great, frenzied action, anything that breaks up the monotony is welcome. Bob, you've rarely made me laugh. And setting him up with a can't lose role as a radio announcer in the movie, Major League - a deadpan face delivering outrageous exaggerations to a radio crowd, is hardly a great display of comedic talent. I know the Brewers' fans love him in Milwaukee and that's where he is in his element.

Thanks for this. I watched Kruk come into The Show and leave it. He was something special, in ability and temperament. "Lady, I'm not a 'professional athlete', I'm a baseball player!" Marvelous.

Also... Bryce choosing the Phillies. No opt out. Under market value who made it clear he wanted to raise a family here and be the face of the team for a decade. He chose #3... as his number was ROY HALLADAY's number before it was retired. He had me at hello.

I remember going on a bus trip to DC for his first game. He acknowledged us. He bowed. And dominated and we beat Max. The "Phillies fans boo Bryce Harper" video snipit makes no sense. Two people boo'd Bryce and made a video and you used it.

Not mentioning his game 3 ALDS performance is criminal. 7 shoutout innings, 6 Ks, 0 walks, and some of the most hype moments ive seen from a pitcher in awhile. How many pitchers do you know that are diving into the dugout wall to make an out?
