    Lincoln is not a town! It’s an area of communities! It includes Beamsville, Vineland etc. my parents lived in Beamsville. They built many new homes but didn’t update the infrastructure, so traffic at times is awful. Crime has gone up too.

    Thanks for the feedback. What areas are you referring to? As the areas I first mentioned in the video are the industrial areas which I know some of my clients want to avoid and hence why it's one of the top questions I get. The areas I recommended later in the video are Dundas, Ancaster, Stoney Creek I know many clients who love to call these places home but it does depend on what you looking for and your budget.

    Some agents are sneaky and list it as a freehold even though they have the road maintenance fee

  • @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada
    @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada11 күн бұрын

    No doubt it's frustrating when some agents misrepresent what they are selling. But you are correct that there are cases where a freehold property will have a small road maintenance fee, ~$100, associated with it. This would be called a parcel of tied land. Essentially, you're buying a freehold property, but it's on a private road, and therefore, all the residents on the street will pitch in to have it maintained.

    You will be able to find some smaller detached homes and townhomes on the Hamilton Mountain under 500K however the most amount of options under 500K you will find in the central Hamilton. In that area i'd recommend looking into the east side. Send me an email at [email protected] to discuss further.

  • @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada

  • @spacers_______
    @spacers_______8 күн бұрын

    @@LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanadaToronto is no where near two hours. Your Google Maps search was probably during a serious congestion within the GTA. It’s a solid hour to get to Etobicoke.

  • @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada
    @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada7 күн бұрын

    Fair it could have had some extra congestion in the GTA and Toronto. But I would say traffic is fairly typical when driving to Toronto. Also the end point wasn't Etobicoke it was Union Station so people can compare how long it takes with the train vs driving to the same location

    Can I live here if I'm not pure-veg, non-veg, from one of two Indian states? And female only? I don't want to share my basement apartment with any more than 15 people. Can I have alternatives to tiffin service? Sorry, I confounded Brantford with Brampton, which is....would you like to tell us?

  • @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada
    @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada24 күн бұрын

    You can live here if you eat only veg or all meat or somewhere in between. And yup you can be a female only live here as well. And it sounds like you are talking about Brampton as that's where that news story was of 15 people living in the basement and while that occasionally happens some how. More often you can find a bunch of basement rentals where you are the only one or have only 1 roommate.

    How is Hamilton to stay in a 1Bed rental apartment and travelling 3 times a week via car to Mississauga for work? I personally like greenery and away from the hussel bussel of city.

  • @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada
    @LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada24 күн бұрын

    You can find many 1 bed rentals close to green space and local shops here. Communiting to work would varry. I have some clients that don't mind driving others prefer to talk the go train into downtown Toronto and I have other clients who want to live closer to Toronto to cut down the commute. I would budget between an hour and hour and half going one way depending on the traffic and location in Toronto you are driving to.

    There is quite a bit of employment opportunity in Cambridge. The largest employer is TOYOTA Motor Corp., then there is BWX or formerly Babcock and Wilcox. Many others also; one would need to check the Golden Triangle Business directory. This is what I did when I hung out my shingle back in 2005. I have gotten to like Cambridge a lot over the years. Some of the best neighbourhoods are a little off the beaten path but that's what makes them so nice and unique. My neighbourhood is one of the main drags through town with rush hour traffic a little challenging. But it has many plusses and we put up with it. After 7 or 8 PM it quiets right down to residential status except for the odd idiot or emergency vehicle. The biggest plus is that we get immediate snow removal and our sidewalk plowed, too!
