"Mudbone's Garage" What's it all about? My channel started out by taking videos of my 1955 Buick Century restoration project and posting them on KZread. (Unlisted) so my car buddies can see what progress I was making. Later I decided to post the Model T Ford plowing video so family and friends could see it in action. I made this one public so more people could see it. As you can see by my videos, I love old Buicks, Model T Fords and anything else automotive related. It has been a lot of fun sharing this stuff with the world. Thanks for watching, Mud

Sorry, but this video was from 2011. I was using an old digital camera. I just uploaded it last year.

Hello everybody I have the same drill unfortunately it doesn’t work The electric part is very well But the gearing part doesn’t work, I think there isn’t a gear Please if somebody has the manual or photos from the gearing part I will thank you a lot
I will look as I have the original box.
@@dyna1955 Hello Thanks a lot I wait for the info that you can get me
I have the box mine came in but no instructions...
@@dyna1955 I thank you in any way, good night
Hello again, when you opened the drill you didn't take photos of the gears?
My silverado is a prerunner so I have low profile bumper in the front. I'm thinking maybe this could fit on my truck in place of it's rear bumper.
I bet my c3 cooler is kooler then your cooler is????? a mini wireless remote controlled mini hummer h2 .. now .. thats sum kool shit right there.... see it LIVE at the Dunedin Florida Causeways when its not raining..lol...

Haha that's a cool cooler
just amazing.
That's pretty cool!
Might be worth mocking up a styrofoam mold for some Fireball Nailheads to become that coolers’ lids!!!
That’s actually pretty dang ‘cool’!
When you're not at work Monday, I'll know where to find you! 🤣
Thank you, great video! I am about to adjust the wheel bearings on my 1950 Buick so seeing it done is very helpful
Is anything for sale
EZ Jacks is in Junction city Kansas. You can find them on the Internet. Mud
Thank you,,, Good job. I have to replace my fan on my 2000 Astro. Going on 200,000 miles. BUT,,,,,,,, NO NO NO, Don't put Dielectric grease on electrical contact points. Dielectric grease is an insulator. Only use it on the rubber seals that hold the connector together.
Yes dielectric grease can cause problems and it can prevent problems. I just had a new Bobcat skid steer loader right from the factory that has all the connections covered in grease. Even the service manual says not to do it. However we have had some equipment that works in snow and salt that do not have very good seals on the connectors and without it they do not make it one season.
@@dyna1955 For sure dielectric grease is a very helpful grease in extreme conditions. You can smear it on, in great quantities, just don't put it directly on contact points, every place else to keep the connectors dry. I would even say that some grease, even on the contact points, can be better than nothing at all. It's important that people know the correct usage of this product.

Thank you sir!
How does the glove box even come out???
It was a pain in the butt. The lever that allows the box to open slowly, I never was able to get it back in place. I can't remember what all I had to take apart. sorry.
yup had the same thing happen on our kubota v1505 engine.Down an 1/8 inch from top dead center .Caused compression to be down almost 125 pounds from spec
We saved one last month. The guy rolled it over. We told him not to try and start it. We pulled the glow plugs and turned it over by hand. A lot of oil came out.
Go thru how to put Vinegar in the heater core and how to leave it in for a time before flushing it out..... give steps of how to do it.
I put a short hose on one of the heater core outlet and installed a funnel. I lifted it up toward the hood and poured in the vinigar. The other hose from the core I ran into the bucket.
My DTS is rusted there too. Repair is fine as it is functional and won't be seen.
this might be a long shot considering this video is a few years old but do you happen to know where the ground wires in the engine bay are located on the buick i can’t find them for the life of me lol ( thanks in advance. )
Not sure. I think I have a service manual for it. I will look.
I only have the owners manual. Sorry
The car 2 minutes in the basic the tub, is it still available or know the phone number
This was filmed over 10 tears ago. This is the website. www.oakleafoldcars.com/
I run these with a sliding t handle and a ratcheting socket adapter. You can also put them on a 1/4 hex adapter to run with a drill which is easier on the tap than a ratchet.
Nice....
Is it weird that I can tell this is west of Chicago?
Dumb video
You must drive a Mustang.........
Isn't that the full name of those cars? The Ford Wrong Lane Mustang...
This car had definitely been restored before it caught fire. It needs to be saved.
Yes it was saved, but not to be restored. You would have to destroy another car to save this one. The body and chassis went to California to save a rusty convertible. He will use from the firewall back and the chassis. The engine went to Arizona to finish a car down there. The seat springs went to Indiana to finish a car there. The tail lights housings and headlight buckets went to West Virginia. Many small parts where purchased locally. I saved all the chrome and stainless to finish my car. Any car can be saved. But other cars will be sacrificed to do so.
Get a life 😊
No speed limits on Race tracks..............
Hi @dyna1955, may I use this clip on my channel? with credit ( name on screen).Do you have any comment ?
Do you know how a 61 Dynaflow changes pitch? Mine won't after a rebuild, but I have since moved cross country and can't take it back.
I am not familiar with the later ones. I know the linkage is very important to get adjusted correctly. Do you have a service manual? They are very helpful for making adjustments.
@@dyna1955 Thanks for the reply, I do have a service manual and it's adjusted properly at the carb end. I'll take another look at the manual to see if I can understand the operation of changing blade pitch.
Im looking for both glass channels for the driver and passage side. This is the channel that the glass sits in. Any idea if they are aftermarket
I don't think there are any after market ones.
@@dyna1955 I have been looking for them, This car was all apart when I got it and I am missing a few parts.
Why isn’t there a grease zerk at the bottom bushing of the spindle? Mine is the same and I’m thinking of adding one.
I found that if you jack it up to take the weight off and then grease it, it helps get the grease in all the areas.
@@dyna1955 I see thanks for the tip. I did decide to tap and ad a zero there anyway. Because my pin and bushing were worn badly. I love the video it’s the only one I could find to help me on my 54. So thank you! 😊
Any tips on replacing the starter on this bad boy? I bought one and the starter just died on me . It looks like a big project!
No I do not. It has been a long time since I worked on one of these.
I am looking for some 55/56 Buick engine parts. Your description mentions selling parts you don't need. Is there a list?
Send Email [email protected]
Send me an email. I may have some parts.
Here cause Matt said to drop by. . Hi from Scotland.. 👍🏼👌
Thanks!
Nice Buick
Do you have a 1987 Buick Grand National Regal GNX?
Nope
Nice where did you find the nylon replacement inserts
Which inserts are you referring to?
@@dyna1955 I’m sorry the adjustment inserts
I had several headlight buckets. I had enough to make two good ones
Any idea where I can find the taillight socket that plugs into the back of the housing. I've been searching for awhile with no luck.
I may have some, I will look.
Send me an email and I can send you a photo. [email protected]
Did not show you putting it back together,
It goes in just like the old one came out. You do not need to put the plastic cover back on.
I'm currently having a same problem. Except my actuators are all working fine. I'm going to try unclogging the heater core. You may have just saved me a lot of tie and money. Thank You for sharing!!!!
did it work?
Need to get yourself some snow chains !
I got the same model. I don't take it out of the showcase to play in the snow with it.
funny
Would you be interested in selling?
This was on a home that I was inspecting many years ago. I was fascinated by it.
Hopefully the folk that get it can make it a runner or donate needed parts to other 322 CID mills
I think he plans on pulling the heads and pan and look it over. He has a nice car but, it did not come with an engine. It is good to see all the parts that are going to help build other cars.
good day sir ! would you be interested in a complete running 55 two door Buick special chassis? I bought an original running driving car just for the body. this was not a northern car, frame is straight and solid. I believe it's a 264 CI. Dynaflow has forward, gears but weak reverse.
I would not, but you may try the BCA Forum.
I have a 55 Buick Special. It currently has dual exhaust. I am thinking about making it stock with single exhaust. WIll the Y pipe from a century fit onto a special? if so, is yours for sale?
Yes, the Y pipe should be the same. I think I will keep this one as it is better that may original one.
Would make a good race car at the least !
