If the oscillator is like my Nesco then the sound in the gearbox is probably a spring clip inside popping in and out of its groove in the gear to prevent it stripping out. I suspect the shaft for the cam is bound up somehow causing it to do that if thats the case.

Good old Vulcan v6, one of the most durable engines Ford produced. You can also get the 4.0 Cologne v6 in these as well. I'd buy it, I love 90s Fords.

These were good cars. I still see a lot of them around. Just don't show them a spec of salt, or, like most 2000s GM vehicles, the rocker panels will disintegrate into nothing in a matter of months, lol. The ones that came after this had really bad transmissions. As for the radio/climate control cluster, I think every Ford of the era from the Focus to the F150 had that style center stack, with the exception of the Edge and the Explorer.

One thing that those a/c's had was the "recirculate/fresh air" switch where you could choose to pull in air from the outside.

I have that exact same alarm clock and I've had it for probably I don't know since late '80s early '90s. That alarm clock is the only one that's ever woke me up lol. I would never get rid of it and I hope to god it never breaks.
