  I love this vibe. Very city pop. My fav songs by them have this sound: Say Something, Push & Pull, Dive. Also, some of my fav TWICE songs are Japanese tracks: Doughnut, Better, Hare Hare.

  Let me see if with my little knowledge I can enlighten you a little. When Twice started Kpop and Jpop were two COMPLETELY separate entities and very much rivals. In fact the countries hated each other (see history of Japanese occupation of Korea). A few Kpop groups and one solo artist made in roads but to be popular you had to play by their rules so yes the first couple of albums conformed totally to Jpop standards (you can't change things if you don't get in the door). Well Twice actually blew the doors open into the Japanese market (see the true definition of your name) by doing it their way but have, just like in the states, managed to slowly change the expectations which is why now Kpop groups can release songs that are more Kpop oriented in Japan and be successful, although to my knowledge Twice still out sells any other Kpop group in Japan (think J-line). So to be fair you really need to check out the later Japanese releases they are much more Twice than Candy Pop which was obviously made for teenage Japanese girls and was a smash hit in Japan. Try Perfect World the transitions alone should make it worth a watch. OT9 forever (TIMELESS).

  DC blew me away with this one, but they usually do, let's be real xD I've loved all the title tracks apart from OOTD instantly, but I've come round to that one, too by now. Justice sounds so powerful! I love that we get to hear more of the different members vocal capabilities - Handong's gorgeous rich tone, Sua, Jiu, Yoohyeon and Gah belting the house down, and finally a longer Dami rap 🥰 And that "we build the barrier" comes in so damn strong, that's my favourite part of the choreography as well. I like the vibrating effect in the first few choruses, it adds variety, and it really lets the final, clean chorus stand out. You can hear them more clearly in some of the performance videos though. I'm just super hyped about this comeback, can't wait to see them live again in the hopefully not too distant future 😄

  Eversince MISAMO debuted, the J-Line has gotten, if not more lines on their most recent tracks with Momo returning to the rap line. The even lines for the girls have started (in my experience) since Eyes Wide Open and was more evident in O+T = <3. Perfect World, Wishing, Fake & True, Better and Breakthrough would still be my Top Japanese tracks from them.

  I liked the track, it's like a throwback to the glorious 2015 of kpop. the chorus makes the song and literally sounds like something from Brave Girls, HelloVenus, Stellar or Dal Shabet.

  Even gahyeon was belting at the end, Gahyeon started it and Siyeon came halfway through. So I was proud to see gahyeon (Being a gahyeon bias) doing it. I find when they did stages you can see gahyeon doing it to. Not sure since you can hear siyeon more then gahyeon in the MV

  I'm with Serge, I've been loving the bsides lately, so to have Justice come in swinging was so unexpected but good! That said, I have to really disagree on the effect commentary. Prolonged high notes are great, but because it's so repetitive, in my opinion it would lose its power by the end of the song; dare I say, it would be boring! I think the effect complements the MV really well and more importantly adds character to the live stages (where the high notes are not held out as long).

  Yea I feel like it was a really double edged sword IMO. I feel it woulda added more in those parts but also would take away from those crazy high notes in the end. I still feel like the vocals got lost in the instrumental but at the same time it works lol

  Your reaction was good but FYI, this is a true K~pop, different switches, a mixture of different genres, as the artist said FOREVER is a song with synth pop, retro, with a touch of hip~hop and disco with a summer vibe, this song was made for the artists and fans, it will slaps in the concert, if you don’t feel the music, try to listen or react on Its Live on KZread with a live band and pure vocals, hope you enjoy it.
