Whilst it is true that it's inadvisable to drive all the way to the falls, your information is misleading and incorrect. Ingersley Vale - the lane which leads right to the location, is tarmac. There are a number of private dwellings by the falls - all of which use cars. Should anyone need to turn a car around, this can be achieved by the ruins of the old Mill. This can easily been seen on Google Maps Street view. As to walking to the falls, it's no more than a ten-minute walk from the opposite end of Ingersley Vale, at a moderate pace.

What drone insurance do you use? After loosing mine to the plug hole that day I met you, I’ve found my home insurance doesn’t cover radio controlled devices 😢

Or if you mean, to recover the cost of a lost drone, DJI's CARE REFRESH would have been the best option, but you can't buy it retrospectively - only with a new drone.

any idea how efficient the screw type is compared to other types of hydro?
8 ай бұрын
Not a subject I'm well versed in. A quick Google search tells me that hydro-electric power can be as much as 90% efficient, compared to 50% for fossil-fuelled plant.
@davidhowe69057 ай бұрын
Fossil-fuelled are heat engines; converting heat energy into motion; this carries inherent limitations in efficiency, as some waste heat is inevitable with given practical sources of heating and cooling (even if you could e.g. remove friction). Hydro does not have the same basic limitation. The inefficiency of heat engines is compensated by the fact that a modest amount of fuel can produce the same energy as an awful lot of water, falling a long way; also, heat engines don't need to be near high or flowing sources of water. @
