UP NORTH ADVENTURES WITH CCC
I mostly rock hunt for agates along Lake Superior in Upper Michigan. I also fossil hunt in Northern Wisconsin. I visit rock shops in Upper Michigan. I travel to rock hunt from the very bottom of the U.P to the top of the U.P. It has been a hobby of mine for many years that I enjoy very much. I will be taking you on many rock hunts for at least 9 months out of the 12 months every year. The cold never stopped me or the snow ! I will share with you my rock tumbling progress of many rocks I have found in the Great Lakes. I do rock trades and receive rocks in the mail that I share also.
I also Metal Detect and collect coins. From time to time you will see a metal detecting video and a coin related video.

Very nice material. Mushroom rhyolite is softer but with the amazing pattern it's well worth it. The obsidian takes such a great polish. I agree that the new sarape is real the first stuff is questionable. Can't wait to see them polished thanks for sharing.
I had a feeling the mushroom would be softer. Hoping it doesn't disappear in the tumbler, lol Glad to hear the obsidian will shine nicely. Try and stay cool out there ! Thanks for watching 😊

The sarape you got is fantastic! The blue Mustang is some of their best jasper. It's a little more per pound but worth it. I like the dendritic agate. It is just like Montana agate, I think. I like looking at it out in their yard in the sun. They appear to have more fractures than Montanas do. The mushroom rhyolite is another fantastic one. Thunder eggs are found in rhyolite. Some jaspers being sold are actually rhyolite. Rhyolite can take an ok shine. I've tumbled thundereggs before. That mushroom stuff looks great, anywho. I agree that Mahogany Obsidian is wonderful. Silver sheen, gold sheen, borealis, and rainbow are really nice, too. I recommend calling and asking for "Arthur" if you have any questions or requests. You can mention me if you like. Im really looking forward to seeing these polished or made into neat pendants. 😊
I love the sarape this time. So much better than last time. I can't wait to see them tumbled. Some people call the mushroom rhyolite 'mushroom jasper.' That is how I always new it to be until I seen it on the gem shop as mushroom rhyolite. So it should tumble nice. I had so no luck with the thunder eggs in the tumbler. Up coming video. Mine cracked up when cutting and cracked bad when tumbling. So I will not bother tumbling it again. A flat lap would be greet for the thunder eggs. I will remember to ask for Arthur if i ever need to talk with one of them. Thanks a million for mentioning that the sarape was in :) I would of never ordered it again if I didn't hear you say a new batch was in and then seeing what you picked up really made me want to try ordering it again. Yes obsidian was used for arrowheads. Sure made for some nice looking ones ! I really like the obsidian and hope it tumbles nicely for me. I enjoyed looking at the new rocks for the first time. 01:02 those have some cool swirlies in them. Boy it's super hot here. We're actually mid 90s with heat indexes over 100. It's scorching here. That landscape jasper looks so much cooler when it's wet. Ok that sneak peek of that agate is so pretty. Too bad you can't specify only smaller sized rocks when you order them. Yup that mushroom is very pretty too. 09:40 is very pretty. Look forward to seeing you get that one tumbled. I think you got some great new pieces. It's cool that some are new to you. How fun!
Out of all of them I think I like the mushroom rhyolite the best. I think I am done getting rocks for the summer except for maybe rock hunting a beach or two. Just wanted to get enough to cut in the summer to tumble over the winter months. I do like trying out new rocks to tumble. I miss the beaches but yes way to hot to go to any, lol Your temps are above mine but pretty close. I love fall and can't wait for it :) Thanks for watching😊

Places like that ALL OVER traveling. Used to go in and ache 4 items dreamin while 🚗 🛣 Suckered for waterfalls decor & hangin wall items and pots or tin buckets. Intriguing very alluring, old and NEW.

Fun little shop. Did you find the big rock shop up there? I bought a gem bags and found some really great pieces. They do not have "bargain" prices but they have quality pieces.

Looks like a pretty good sized shop as you're pulling in. They let women do whatever they want 😆Hey I have one of those little table top jukeboxes. My mom gave it to me several years ago. Oh my goodness it looks like there's so much in there to see. The rock beads are kind of cool. But I think you've had some rocks much prettier. The mermaid is cute. Fun trip to the antique shop.
I love stopping at this shop when in Door County, WI. I always see things I want but do control myself 😂many more places to stop at yet. I am sure you know how that is. I don't drink anymore but oh do they have the wine stores and free tasting to see if you like it before buying. I think that is pretty cool !! You get to taste all kinds of jams and dips also before buying. I fell in love with a mustard and cherry dip after tasting it.Thanks much for watching~have a great day😊

Omgosh I go to the antique shops in Blissfield near Adrian where we live. The buildings we're built in the 1800 hundreds. Very cool place and awesome tour. When I seen that coat/hat lighthouse rack. I would have bought it to. Good to hang aprons on as well. Beautiful mermaid 🧜♀️ awesome finds 👏🏼

Nice batch! What kind of tumbler do you use?
Just a cheap HF. Had a lortone years ago, when it died I went with HF and warranty. If any thing goes wrong, they give a free new one, right there at the store. Can't go wrong with that😊
Those are fossils?! What a great shine! My son keeps eyeing petrified wood. Between him and you I'm convinced I'll have to pick some up.
I thought stromatolites before cutting them but after cutting them I got confused. I tumbled Arizona petwood and it broke up badly, just a heads up. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did, if you go with Arizona petwood that is. Thanks for watching 😊
