I need advice, please: I have a 455W solar panel...I bought BOTH Mppt and Pmw controllers from China (100A)...When I connect the solar panel, the controllers don't accept the panel? The controller shuts down soon?! Thank you very much

I dont know much solar panels but if I have two 100 watts solar panels and I get someone to connect them for me in parallel for usage on my solar generator, after connecting them in parallel will I get a total of 200 watts coming from the sun to charge my solar generator? My solar generator has maximum amp of 8.5. If the amps double after connecting in parallel will this damage my solar generator??

Now to better comprehend which panels are best for 12v, 24v, 48v system and how to size the array to a specific inverter. I thought this ight be discussed here - I will keep looking.

I have 3 panels at 18.1 amps each short circut current. I want to wire them in parallel as shown Do I need to have 3 20 amp fuses one from each positive wire from the panel plugged into the three to one adapter or one fuse connected to the output of the adapter going to the solar controller?

Thanks so very much for putting this video on KZread. You kept it seriously simple. I learned information about solar panel adapters. I want to know which is better series or parellel? I am looking forward to hearing back from the host of this video or whomever knows. Thanks for reading my comments. Smiles

Where is my shipping labels to send your broken products back? Your a lieing pos. Everyday im getting on videos that people post about Rich Solar products and telling customers how your company steals from disabled veterans. I hope thousands of customers turn away from your brand after they find out how you and your company treated us. Im leaving reviews with vendors and sending emails to vendors like Harbor Freight telling them how your company stole from my family and is refusing to send shipping lanels to return your junk. 500 bucks ain't worth loosing hundreds of thousands of dollars thieves.

This exactly what I was looking for! Someone who can show it instead of all the diagrams. I mean they are important but for someone like me who got a hand down solar system with 3 panels and learn how to connect makes all the difference. Thank you so much! Short video. Straight to the point. Easy to follow. Took me 3 min to hook my 3 panels up after watching this. Wish more people made videos like this.

Such an easy to follow video-thank goodness! Can I just ask about cable thickness? I'm adding another 100w panel to my two, other one hundred watt panels (so 3x 100w if that wasn't clear, lol). Will I need a thicker cable than I'm currently using for my 2x100w panels? Cheers

I have this Rich 40amp controller with BT-1. 3 - 12v AGM batteries. 2 are VMAX are SLR100qh and 1 is NPP 12v200ah all in parallel. I can see battery capacity on my IPhone with no problem. I would like to also be able to page to it on the controller itself. I have been unable to find it in the tab lists. I even disconnected the BT-1. The option is not present anywhere on the list. I do not have anything connected on the load terminals even though I have a 4000w inverter behind the controller. Can you comment on maybe why the battery level will display on the controller? Could it be that the capacity of 3rd battery is 200ah instead of 100ah like batteries 1 and 2? Any ideas would appreciated! Thanks for the video!!

Rich Solar is a horrible low life company with no support and I would suggest not buying anything form these: "people". Last year I purchased their 200w Portable SOLAR BRIEFCASE, the briefcase snaps were broken and I wanted to return the panel and purchase another. They never returned my phone after they found out that I wanted a return and purchase something else. Don't waste your time with these people. BUYER BEWARE!

What if the third panel leads won't reach, can I add extensions to the third panel and is it ok if the third panel wire is longer than the other 2 panels, or do they all need to be the same length?

Check out Amazon for “solar extension cables” they have many different sizes. It’s ok it the lengths are different it won’t affect the overall system.
