Winstone is much harder to understand with his strong accent and rapid speech here than he is in the film where he speaks more clearly and reduces the accent. My understanding is that Winstone told Kingsley that his initial way of speaking like Don Logan wasn't the way such gangsters would speak and Kingsley came back the next day with the fully formed Don Logan speech of the film. Winstone here makes it seem that Kingsley arrived speaking a more subtle and quiet version of the maniac Don Logan voice. It's not clear whether Winstone then gave him a little advice that changed the way Kingsley played the character.
