    The first clip Ed of the fish showing constantly what are they doing when the show like that?

  • @EdBetteridge1
    @EdBetteridge12 жыл бұрын

    There are a number of reason why carp show, I keep koi and they never show unless something is wrong, normally signs of a parasite infection or poor water quality. Carp in lakes can do it for other reasons too, equalising the swim bladder, clearing the gills after feeding in silt and communication. I think these fish were showing because of a combination of the latter 3 reasons, because they were on the move after a feed.👍

    What line do you have on Ed

  • @EdBetteridge1
    @EdBetteridge15 жыл бұрын

    Hi Phil, I pretty much just use Fluorocarbon these days (or Braid for boating long distance), the modern Fluoros have come a long way from what they were and they are nearly as user friendly as mono, but with limited stretch, low viability and they sink very well.

    Ed Betteridge what make is it you have Ed

  • @EdBetteridge1
    @EdBetteridge15 жыл бұрын

    @@philashmorecarpfishing455 It depends where I'm fishing, the Korda Kontour is an awesome line, but its only available in 12lb so if I'm fishing somewhere very weedy or snaggy I use the Berkley Connect CF600 in 15lb or 18lb

    I made it back in time for work thanks. When I fished B1 last it was all about long(ish) range fishing. You needed to cast 110 to 130 yards to get a bite. If you can spod that range so much the better, if not a single hook bait will work.
